Title: Virtuality
Post by: Nevermore on June 04, 2009, 09:15:50 AM
Take one part Star Trek holodeck episode and one part reality TV, stir together with cheesy computer virus crisis and add a twist of Ron Moore and you end up with Virtuality (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/41294).

Ron Moore or not, I have to say I'm skeptical this premise will work.

This is what is technically replacing Terminator?

Fucking really?

Even if it just ends up being a summer show, I'm still pissed.

I'll watch it just to check out Sienna Guillory :awesome_for_real:

I think it's just the two hour pilot.  From what I gather, it didn't get turned into an actual show.  Or maybe it will be, who knows?

The Pilot was made last year (for the 2008 - 2009 season) :ye_gods:

The cards against it:

Shoved into Friday Death Time Slot.
Shot a year ago but only now showing up.
Not even mentioned for next years schedule.
Apparently only a pilot exists.

The odds of this being anything other than shit are not good.

The premise is just...weird. The Pilot crammed way too much stuff in and the reality TV thing is stupid.

I didn't watch it, but the few minutes I saw for the preview led me to believe the reality TV thing was what was going to sink it. Reality TV requires a stylistic choice that just doesn't serve this story well.
