Title: Warrior Epic Post by: schild on May 20, 2009, 04:17:17 PM So. Apparently this went live today. I don't know if it's "live" per se, but it's available to play.
I've downloaded it and my account is improved. I'm sure it'll be nothing but awesome. Obviously. http://www.warriorepic.com Edit: Apparently it's almost an MMOG. It's a Diablo clone. Or something. With a b.net lobby style. Whatever. Play with me. I mean. Whatever. I'm not even sure any of that information is real. I'm not even sure it's worth the download. I'm bored. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Draegan on May 20, 2009, 04:25:28 PM I hate not having enough milk for a bowl of cereal.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: gryeyes on May 20, 2009, 04:29:11 PM Is it worth downloading the large client?
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Azaroth on May 20, 2009, 04:53:38 PM The huge green beast warrior class is a healbot.
Fuck. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Ard on May 20, 2009, 05:00:43 PM Hah, buy healing potions with real money. This game wins.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Azaroth on May 20, 2009, 05:04:31 PM Is that the only way to buy healing potions?
Shit, I MIGHT roll a healbot then. I could be the first paypal healbot ever in existence. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Trippy on May 20, 2009, 05:26:35 PM Am I the only one who thought schild was asking about the EQ Warrior Epic quest when they saw this title?
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Hindenburg on May 20, 2009, 06:00:55 PM Doesn't even get past checking. Hrm.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Ingmar on May 20, 2009, 06:02:03 PM Am I the only one who thought schild was asking about the EQ Warrior Epic quest when they saw this title? DAOC for me but yeah. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: gryeyes on May 20, 2009, 06:04:19 PM Same.
There is acknowledgment of the problem from 8 days ago attributing it to "server upgrades". Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: schild on May 20, 2009, 06:07:59 PM Doesn't even get past checking. Hrm. Yea, seems to be stuck. I think I'm gonna uninstall it. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Azaroth on May 20, 2009, 06:15:01 PM 8 days ago?
Uninstalled. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: gryeyes on May 20, 2009, 06:43:33 PM 8 days ago? Uninstalled. There are additional updates that are more recent. The entire game has not been broken that long, it just seems a common problem. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Ard on May 20, 2009, 11:40:37 PM Okay, I managed to get in for a bit tonight, and I really don't know why I bothered. It more or less combined all the bad parts of Space Siege with all the bad parts of a cash shop driven game. Fun times.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: PalmTrees on May 21, 2009, 12:09:05 AM Saw this on massively and thought I'd give it a try. Couldn't even make an account, I'd click finish and nothing would happen.
Oh well, giving Dragonica a try instead. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: jayfyve on May 21, 2009, 08:41:06 AM I was able to get updated and online this morning, I did the tutorial quest and arrived at my warrior barracks. I'm going to try out a few more quests this afternoon.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Mrbloodworth on May 21, 2009, 08:47:08 AM Please take note. I did not bring this one up!
Just sayin. :why_so_serious: (but it does sound like it has some neat features, and could be a good quick play game. Looking forward to hearing more from those trying it.) Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Ard on May 21, 2009, 09:10:58 AM No, this one is inadvertently my fault, for which I profusely apologize for. My bad, won't do it again.
And no, it's not a good quick play game. Like I said, it's the worst parts of space siege, which if you haven't tried, DON'T. Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Mrbloodworth on May 22, 2009, 11:41:49 AM Played this last night. Graphics are OK, some of the ideas are very intriguing, but the game play, at early "quests" is rather, meh. After the "quest" would not launch for my and my friend, the third time, we stopped.
Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Ard on May 22, 2009, 12:00:26 PM If it makes you feel any better, I managed to break the script on the pirate treasure one, and I have no clue how. Completely wasted a half hour of my time since you get absolutely nothing if you have to quit out without finishing. Although, to be fair, I shouldn't have even bothered loading into that mission, I should have just uninstalled it after the tutorial and first mission.

Yeah, well you didn't miss much. i enjoyed that my guy would say things. but really, a pirate booty "quest"? they fucked this up. Its all like "find the clue!" So your like "sweet, treasure hunt" Then you realize, every clue is on the path ahead, and the treasure is at the end of the "quest". :oh_i_see: Title: Re: Warrior Epic Post by: Nonentity on May 22, 2009, 10:16:52 PM I'm ashamed of you all. You should all know better by now.
