Googling on "Trico" takes you to wiper blades. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: gryeyes on May 19, 2009, 05:47:58 PM If falcor is his friend why was he running for his life?!
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Trippy on May 19, 2009, 05:48:58 PM Cause that was the first time they met?
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: gryeyes on May 19, 2009, 05:57:11 PM They seem pretty familiar with each other.
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: schild on May 19, 2009, 05:59:20 PM Don't read into it. That thing is apparently a year old. Which makes me think it's from an internal SCWW summit. Or even possibly internal SCEI stuff. Also, the video was obviously chronologically flawed and was a large number of different scenes.
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: ahoythematey on May 19, 2009, 06:01:35 PM I'm so conflicted. I want this game right now, but I'm almost positive that I don't want to find out what happens with that boy and his Luck-Dragon. I had a hard enough of a time with
That said... :drill: :drill: :drill: Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Hindenburg on May 19, 2009, 06:04:41 PM You're spoiling info on a years-old game? Hrm.
But yes, the monster will most certainly bite the dust at the end. Just like the princess. That is, after all, what team ico does. Murderers, the lot of them. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Moaner on May 19, 2009, 06:08:41 PM I hope that stupid looking thing dies horribly.
I really didn't care for either ICO or SotC and I'm surprised they get so much love. In any case the animations in that vid were great and I'll probably watch a 'let's play' of this just for the tragic story. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: ahoythematey on May 19, 2009, 06:10:40 PM A lot of people still have not played SotC, so I don't mind taking the two extra seconds it takes to spoiler tag a surprising moment in the game. Of course, if all people had as poor taste as Moaner, it wouldn't really be an issue...
Also: I don't remember Yorda dying... Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: schild on May 19, 2009, 06:35:20 PM I hope that stupid looking thing dies horribly. Don't be a dick! :(:(:(:( Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Hindenburg on May 19, 2009, 06:53:09 PM A lot of people still have not played SotC, so I don't mind taking the two extra seconds it takes to spoiler tag a surprising moment in the game. Doubt any heretic who hasn't played wanda to this day will decide to play it now. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Hawkbit on May 19, 2009, 07:07:58 PM I loved both Ico and SotC. Both games took me into their worlds and I felt like I lived there for an hour or two a day. This looks no less amazing.
My wife has been holding out on letting me buy a PS3, but she won't be able to stand me talking about wanting this 24/7 so she'll have to cave. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Margalis on May 19, 2009, 08:55:52 PM The endings of both SOTC and ICO were two the biggest wuss-out endings of all time. If they'd known when to fade to black they both could have been great, instead they both had to tack on lame reassuring final scenes that robbed them of any emotional depth.
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: ahoythematey on May 19, 2009, 09:21:07 PM You must be doing it wrong, then, if that's what you took out of your time with those games.

That's one of the more ridiculous things you've ever said.Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: voodoolily on May 20, 2009, 07:58:51 AM All I can say is, where can I get me wunnadem cute lil' dragons?
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Lantyssa on May 20, 2009, 08:31:44 AM If falcor is his friend why was he running for his life?! Maybe he was running from the guy in armor.Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Mrbloodworth on May 20, 2009, 09:25:29 AM The rendering for hair, and now feathers continue to amaze me. Truly stunning so far. I am looking forward to this one greatly.
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Soln on May 20, 2009, 10:47:51 AM hope the camera controls are different than SotC
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: stu on May 20, 2009, 01:44:05 PM At first is was funny hearing the music from Miller's Crossing being used in the vid. Oddly enough, it fits. Looks like a cool project.
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: ahoythematey on May 20, 2009, 02:05:52 PM hope the camera controls are different than SotC See, this is a legitimate point to make, not some wuss-out ending bullshit. Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: gryeyes on May 20, 2009, 04:25:51 PM Maybe he was running from the guy in armor. That is possible but that knight did not seem to be in "pursuit mode". Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Lantyssa on May 20, 2009, 05:24:48 PM He was looking around for something. If the kid kind of knew the area because of befriending the whatsit, then he could have a sizable head start.
(Maybe that isn't what was happening, but it's the only explaination I could come up with given what we have.) Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Rendakor on May 21, 2009, 01:42:02 AM At least I'm not the only one who didn't care for Ico. Played it for about half an hour and didn't even enjoy that. My first impression was a platformer combined with an escort quest. :uhrr:
Title: Re: Project Trico Post by: Strazos on May 21, 2009, 03:25:35 PM This game has piqued my interest.
