Title: Plants vs. Zombies

It's a good game.  High value for the price.

I prefer it to World of Goo.  It's equally charming but the gameplay is also solid.
It's the deepest tower defense I played yet.

I bought it on an impulse because you got Heavy Weapon free with it, and I didn't even know what Heavy Weapon was.  I've been playing both games pretty much non-stop since.  They both have that  :awesome_for_real: charm.

This game is cute. It needs a fast forward button, but maybe you unlock one later.

Played the demo a bit. It is cute. I don't really consider it a TD game, though, given the "laned" setup and the fact that your plants get eaten by the Zombies.

I'm enjoying it but so far it offers zero challenge - though I'm only on stage 3-3, so hopefully it gets even mildly difficult at some point.

It's a pretty gradual progression, but it does definitely get hairier as you go.

The minigames and puzzles you unlock as you play are pretty fun.  My favorite is where you play as the zombies instead of the plants.

"Hey, how about downloading that game to pass some time until Kings Bounty is ready to play"

Then I played it for the rest of the evening. This game is Casual Crack.

The Zombie Minigame is my favourite as well. Reminds me of those "Clear the table by using the cards laying there in a pattern" Magic the Gathering puzzles.

Casual crack is right.  The Thriller Michael Jackson zombie is awesome.

I got my 10 bucks worth just on the weekend alone. Played almost 12 hours between Sat and Sun.

Roof levels can bite my ass though.

Roof levels can bite my ass though.

I prefer roof levels over fog levels.  :ye_gods:

I hate fog. Hate, hate, hate it. I'm playing through a second time since PVZ kindly decided to eat my save games.( Word to the wise: always exit using the exit button from the main menu. ) I'm taking the light and the fan this time. Fucking fog.

I never used the light, just place shit where you need it and the zombies will die.  It makes it easier to see coin drops as well.

If you must get rid of the fog,  use the fan. It doubles as a way to remove the balloon zombies and you don't have to worry about it being chomped on.

Just beat it, it was pretty easy but extremely entertaining throughout.  Of the 40 regular plants I used about 26, and oddly enough I don't have a zombie in my Almanac.  Guess I missed that one.

This is basically all I did:

Not sure if you guys had different strategies.

Nah, thats basically what I did as well. With exploding oneshot plants for rough spots.

I haven't finished yet but I actually extended my defence all the way to the roof, used three-ways, corn cobs and garlic with walnuts and pumpkin shells. Probably slight overkill.

Same thing happened to me.  Probably this one:

I have been playing it again a bit over the last week on breaks from packing/moving.

Finished the second run through of the regular mode (the having 3 plants picked for you bites sometimes), noticed during the credits that there is a "Marmot Salesman". Gave me a chuckle.

Only have the jar-breaker endless, I Zombie endless and 100 foot tree achievements left. The tree one takes 50 packs of plant food (or 125k moneys) after you get it to where it is 50 feet and just a trunk. The survival endless mode is rough because every time you use an upgrade plant the price goes up like 100 sun for each sucessive one.

If I'm thinking of the right mode (haven't played it for a few weeks) I crushed it using the upgraded cob cannons.

I always struggled with I Zombie endless though.

If you want to cheat you can youtube it. The only thing I have left to do is the endless modes to grind enough money to make the tree big. I decided I had "beaten" the game and moved on.

Just a funny.. Originally the game's name was going to be..."Lawn of the Dead".
