Takes place story wise before the movies where Aragorn is charged by Gandalf to locate Gollum who knows a Hobbit has the One Ring. So a prequel.

It's exactly 38:11 with title and credits. That's um, why it says it's 38:11. And it's really good, awesome for $3k although if you watch the credits there's an incredible amount of donated time/stuff. Yes, but if your local obsessed fans all got together with the stuff they had collecting dust intheir Tolkien shrines It saves quite a bit of money.
