Title: Photo Sharing Post by: Hawkbit on April 30, 2009, 02:45:45 PM What's the simplest and best photo sharing program out there? I've used dropbox to share photos, but I ran out of space. It was simple though, and I liked it. Because I ran out of space, I switched over to Picasa, but it seems to find photos from all over my computer. Some of which I don't exactly want shared. Hell, it was even trying to show game tilesets at one point until I weeded it out.
I want a simple folder dump that can I can share with family, is all. Title: Re: Photo Sharing Post by: schild on April 30, 2009, 02:51:21 PM $9 dropbox upgrade, imo.
Title: Re: Photo Sharing Post by: IainC on April 30, 2009, 03:05:03 PM Paid Flickr account is pretty good too. Makes it easy to organise stuff and you can have different access permissions per set. Plus you can upload to it via email if you happen to need to share a photo from your phone in a hurry.

Dropbox seems slow when you guys link from it. Title: Re: Photo Sharing Post by: schild on May 01, 2009, 07:54:20 AM I like flickr. Dropbox seems slow when you guys link from it. It's not dropbox. They use Amazon S3. Title: Re: Photo Sharing Post by: Morfiend on May 03, 2009, 10:15:05 PM I'll put in another vote for flickr. I have pro and it is awesome. There is a program you can just drag folders of images to, if you dont want to use the web interface.
Title: Re: Photo Sharing Post by: Hawkbit on May 03, 2009, 10:17:20 PM Thanks for the advice, all. I went back to dropbox mainly due to simplicity. It also has 2gb storage which is enough, I suppose for a bit. For some reason I was thinking it was only 1gb.
