Title: Mod Squad
Post by: Signe on March 26, 2009, 06:22:09 AM
Does anyone use them?  If so, which?  There is too much UI art for me.  I hate UI art.

The only UI mods I think you can have are art and placement. I use the vanilla UI.

Yes, it's the chunky art I want to remove.

Here is a nice minimalist one. (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info147-TheLastAlliance1680x1050.html)

And another... It also has pink.

Thanks, those will do!  I like pink, but I'll pass on that.  It's too distracting.

I use ArenUI (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info86-ArenUIv3.0.html) which blanks out practically everything -- the whole toolbar, parts of radar, etc.

with that you can then move stuff around.  Be sure to click always-on for your quickslots (toolbars) in the Options menu, and open your inventory to see them to place.  You can move most UI controls by pressing Alt+\

I use default.  Control + \ lets you adjust window size and placement.

I don't mind the default UI and have moved things around a bit.  I just dislike art around my doohickies.

When did you start playing?  You frighten me.

Just a few days ago.  Righ did, too, but he's become busy setting up his new Mac for work.  I just spent two hours being a chicken.  I had forgot about the chicken quest.  ARGH!  We started on Brandywine this time.  I've never played the game past level 13 except for in beta.  Don't be afraid of me!  I'm mostly very nearly harmless.   And if it's because I'm so fickle with MMOs, then you should be more afraid of yourself, Ginger Boy!  I'm playing a hobbit named Twee right now.  Named after the strange music genre.  I want to have a guild named "Twee as Fuck" but I'm sure I can't.   :heartbreak:

Haha.  Not my fault, my brother is on 2 weeks leave from Iraq and rolled into town without warning last night!   :drill:  :drill:  :drill:  :drill:  :drill:  :drill:

Yes, but that's one of those surprises that make you all warm and fuzzy, isn't it?  My nephew visited unexpectedly last weekend and it was lovely.  I used to never see him - always stationed at faraway places and I was living in other faraway places.  I love surprises like that!

I don't know what you are talking about, it's just the best I could do for a girl-hobbit name.

Oh.  Fallia is that place in Hitchhiker's Guide that has gas that gives you nice hallucinations.  You can die of pleasure there!  You also need to go there when you're making your Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.  Sorry.
