Its funny, i didn't know it was mythic (well, what became mythic) that made this title. Seems like it would have been some good ground work for the PvP centric goals of mythic, yet...they have produced titles that, well, are a far cry from this.
I did some work on a title in 07' that was basically a recreation of this... I would love to give it another go with a more stable group that has the real skills to do so. Gamestorm was kinda cool for what it was but I dropped it when I got hooked into EQ.

It would either become broken RvR or a MMO. I think that the reason i posted this really..is because I'm not sure how they got from such a great combat game...to WAR. Post by: Yenlowang on March 26, 2009, 04:46:16 AM Magestorm was available on http://www.mythic-realms.com/ (http://www.mythic-realms.com/) until January of 2006. They had some type of licensing or copyright issue that actually made them have to re-release the game as "Magestorm Millennium", which basically just changed the names of classes/spells. It had something to do with some pnp game called Rolemaster I believe, as it was called Rolemaster: Magestorm on Gamestorm.
As they screwed the pooch on Magestorm 2 aka Spellbinder, I guess WAR and all of the DAoC troubles shouldn't be surprising. |
