You just need a few images with approx. tonal and hue values and computer software will figure out the rest.Title: Re: Herding sheep is serious business Post by: Mrbloodworth on March 18, 2009, 11:51:50 AM The Mona Lisa thing boggles my mind. Title: Re: Herding sheep is serious business Post by: MahrinSkel on March 18, 2009, 07:48:19 PM I think the "FIN" at the end probably was, getting sheep to form single file lines in the absence of a fence would defeat even the border collie, I think. But that's the shame of modern CGI, isn't it? Nothing you don't see with your own eyes is reliably "real". If that was faked, maybe all the distance shots were.

Title: Re: Herding sheep is serious business Post by: Endie on March 21, 2009, 11:42:49 AM Border collies are awesome. That video makes me all :shobon: I adore border collies. My friend and I have three-year-old border collies from the same litter (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=249129&id=741564339) and on the occasions when I work them in a public place I'll usually have half a dozen passers-by standing around watching them at work. They are awesome, spectacular little dogs who adore learning and working. To keep her mind active, I teach new tricks to Sielighe (my one) all the time and if she doesn't pick it up inside a couple of minutes then I'm probably the one doing it wrong. That said, I do suspect that some of the shots were composites: done with the sheep and dogs but over two or three passes. The single file thing is not impossible - sheep will naturally move in file on occasion - but they tend to bunch when the dog is working them, so I'm not so sure on that one, either. Edit: I'm absolutely certain that the centre-line in the pong game are tethered. Still amazing work on some of the drives, though.
