Title: Wonder Woman DVD Post by: HAMMER FRENZY on March 06, 2009, 07:15:53 AM I picked up the Wonderwoman dvd for my lady friend last night. It was really cool. Anyone else have a chance to take a look at this? IT is 12.9 at target, so not too shabby.

Title: Re: Wonder Woman DVD Post by: DLRiley on March 07, 2009, 02:04:18 PM I was thinking.....it's ok. Not particularly badass, but it's wonder women, a better justice league character than a solo one. i was half expecting superman to pop up considering there was a big as supernatural battle in D.C.

There were some lines of dialogue that were obviously Gail Simone's work that were funny or that worked well, but otherwise. It was horribly edited: there are five or six points where the story just suddenly leaps around or doesn't make much sense. Steve Trevor is written as a total fucking asshole: when WW falls for him at the end, it makes absolutely no sense at all, except as a "Women secretly want a man who acts like a shit" kind of message. Ares is just a sort of Eurotrash douche, not particularly threatening or scary. Making Etta Candy into the office slut didn't make any sense.
