Anyone else but me get this?  I got it at 3:30am two mornings ago and I already finished the story and 70% overall.  It's kind of short but it's fucking sweet.  Took me 11 hours to get this far.

First off, they overhauled bike handling.  At least for a couple bikes.  They added many different types as well.  I rarely found myself in a car because of this.  Add to that the fact that you can use your sawed-off double barrel shotgun while riding and there's really no point to riding a car.  Plus you can store many many bikes in front of the Lost clubhouse and only around 2 cars would fit.

Rockstar added some new weapons, too.  This time you get a fully automatic 9mm pistol, a fully automatic shotgun, a sawed-off shotgun, pipe bombs, and a grenade launcher (grenades are on a timed fuse, not impact) added to your arsenal.  What is also cool is that you can call your club brother Terry to come to an alley near you any time and he'll bring his van full of weapons and armor to you and sell at a discount.

Speaking of your club friends, right from the get-go you have a full phonebook of buddies.  You can 1.  Call one to bring you bikes in case you lose yours.  2.  Bring you weapons as stated above.  3.  A seperate guy will leave a fully loaded basic weapon at the clubhouse for you.  4.  You can call for jobs (usually stealing bikes.)  5.  You can call Terry and Clay and they'll ride with you and do whatever mission you want with you, or just go cruising and raising hell (best new feature.  I always wanted to do this with Little Jacob originally.)  Plus you can do a slew of new games with your buddies like air hockey, arm wrestling, and cards.

The story was... just alright.  It runs concurrently to GTAIV and you find yourself crossing paths with characters you already know quite well.  It goes into great depth about Ray and the diamond fuckup from the original.  One thing about the expansion though...  I found it way easier to go apeshit like in good old GTA of yore.  I never really did in GTAIV because Niko felt like a good guy as fucked up as that sounds.  It just wasn't fun because your character wasn't a complete sociopath.  In TLAD your character is a fucking filthy fucking biker.  It just feels right to go around fucking up random people.

Oh, Rockstar has entered the realm of full frontal male nudity including polygonal cock and balls.

My only complaint:  You can't kill your meth-head ex girlfriend skank.

Anyways I am really digging the expansion, it makes me realize how much I enjoyed GTA4 the first go around. The shooting mechanics for an open world game are really nice and as a shooter guy I can really dish out the pain. I am hoping to have it done either tonight or tomorrow and I'll report back on what I thought of the story then.

Don't forget to mention how much of a pussy you are when it comes to moral decisions in the game. Ya big pussy. :hello_kitty_2:

I've had the game for over a month now and I only played maybe 30-40% of the single player.  My greatest fun comes from joining the free mode multiplayer games and just running around blowing the shit out of everything and causing general mayhem with random other people.   

Yeah, I didn't even finish the main game, and am in no real hurry to do so.  No sale!

I'll admit that Lost and Damned seems like a totally different game. As was said before, it feels right because he's a biker.

Saints Row 2 was better than GTAIV anyway.

So, would any one say this is worth buying for someone who didnt finish GTA4?

Maybe stupid question, but does the expansion add the ability to customize your cars?

I bought GTA IV and spent 3 days playing thinking I had to get to a certain area in the game to find a customization shop, only to finally look online and see that the option was not there. Are you kidding? San Andreas had it but they removed it for IV? WTF?

It ruined the game for me so I waited for Saints Row 2 and have never looked back.

Just motorcycles my friend, no car customization.
