Title: Body of Lies Post by: stray on February 08, 2009, 10:48:24 PM Fictional war-on-terror story about "on the ground" intelligence gathering in the Middle East. A bit like Syriana actually, but with less intelligent points, and more action movie flare. For a current issues sort of story, it doesn't have much in the way of commentary... But it's entertaining.
Directed by Ridley Scott. Dicaprio plays the man on the street. Crowe is the detached fat-cat bureaucrat on the phone giving orders from above. Both are good as usual. The standout though is the guy who plays the Jordanian intelligence head. I don't know his name.. I'll probably look it up later. He's kind of an Arab Andy Garcia. |
