edit to add: This has the only good version of Jar-Jar in existence. Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Trippy on January 25, 2009, 11:01:38 PM LOL @ Tomb of Horrors
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: WindupAtheist on January 25, 2009, 11:39:18 PM My favorite is toward the end, where Qui-Gon lays dying after being struck down by Darth Maul, and says to Obi-Wan "I think for my next character I'll build a ninja."
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Draegan on January 26, 2009, 08:16:10 AM Fucking hilarious. Nice.

I'm too easily amused. Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Merusk on January 26, 2009, 02:05:41 PM I'm lovin this comic. The one where 'little sister' Jar Jar explains how 'he' looks is great.
"Clearly [landing your army on the opposite side of the planet from your target] a clever ploy to gain the advantage of surprise!" "They're more cunning than we thought!" Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: WindupAtheist on January 27, 2009, 07:32:46 AM Comes in Lord of the Rings (http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=612) flavor too.

Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: DraconianOne on January 27, 2009, 12:05:54 PM I wasted many hours at work reading DM of the Rings. It's very good. His little commentaries about running D&D campaigns are also very amusing - even to a non P&P player like myself. Thanks for this link.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Fordel on January 27, 2009, 01:12:00 PM "I cast Summon Bigger Fish" will always have a special place reserved in my heart now.

Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Azazel on January 28, 2009, 03:41:56 AM I read Dm of the Rings a year or so ago, and was linked to Darths and Droids from the failed followup to DMotR back in the day.
Both great ways to Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: apocrypha on January 28, 2009, 05:57:10 AM This is making me laugh too hard, I'm worried for my stitches :awesome_for_real:
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Merusk on January 28, 2009, 06:18:42 AM Don't skip reading the commentaries, either. They hold some nuggets or explaination as well.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: bhodi on January 28, 2009, 10:05:42 AM This really is a good way to waste time.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Lantyssa on January 28, 2009, 11:12:01 AM It was a good time waster. Slow work day, so I finished reading them yesterday.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Broughden on January 28, 2009, 11:58:05 PM read the whole thing.....there went 3 hours of the day.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Ironwood on January 29, 2009, 02:40:02 AM Wait, you guys don't have Maltesers in the USA ?
Really ? :uhrr: Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Merusk on January 29, 2009, 04:03:24 AM Just looked them up, nope. We've got Whoppers though which look about the same. I'm sure there's a significant difference like HFC or the type of chocolate, though.
Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: Ironwood on January 29, 2009, 04:55:01 AM You're missing a real treat.
On topic, I'm reading most of the rest of this comic now and it's just really funny stuff. I would queue at the cinema to see THIS movie as opposed to what it was based on. Further, the wee asides down the bottom are really entertaining also ! Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: apocrypha on January 29, 2009, 04:58:08 AM type of chocolate British chocolate is bad, very very bad. But it's 100 times LESS bad than American chocolate :uhrr:Anyway, /divert. I'm now about 1/4 the way through the Star Wars ones, loving them, bringing back so many fond (and not-so-fond) memories of RPG'ing :awesome_for_real: Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: UnSub on January 29, 2009, 08:19:28 AM For the LOTR, I laughed myself silly about Gollum's fate.

But it's 100 times LESS bad than American chocolate :uhrr:Chocoderail! I looked up the Whoppers site after my post to see if there was an ingredient difference. (which they don't list on their site...just the nutrition panel) They're apparently made by Hershey's now, but were originally by a Swedish company in the 50s and then owned by Leaf until Hershey's bought-out Leaf in the 90's. So, yeah, it's definitely the chocolate. I might have to hunt down some online confectioners to see if we can import Malteers. I like a good malted milk ball once in a while. I roll a 01101! What? Custom Dice. LOL Title: Re: Star Wars RPG webcomic thingy Post by: WindupAtheist on February 08, 2009, 04:47:11 AM LOTR keeps playing up that "unexpectedly kill someone" joke, and I keep laughing at it.
