It stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Laura, Mickey Rourke and Winona Ryder and is based on a Bret Easton Ellis novel of the same name, "set in 1983 Los Angeles, where movie executives, rock stars, a vampire, and other morally challenged character mix and commingle".
