Scrubs = most accurate representation of hospital life on tv.  Period. 

I loved the first three seasons.  When they became attendings, I lost all interest. 

I have a huge crush on Zach Braff, who somewhat resembles my sexah husband.

One of my favorite Scrubs moments was when Turk sang the Sanford and Sons theme with different words at Carla.

This is still one of my favorite shows. Yes the quality has gone down a bit, but it's still great. Now does that mean everything else on TV sucks or that the show was just that good to a point where even losing some quality it was still great?

One day I'll make a post that walks people through making animated gifs.  It literally takes 5 minutes.

What do you use to make them, ooki?  I've got an old copy of Jasc Animation Shop I use but you seem to be implying there's an easier way.

I use this thing called AVD Video Processor that works pretty well.  The hardest part is always finding a video file to use as the source (i.e. torrenting it or ripping the DVD to a useful format).

Do it.  You'll either be awestruck or regret it eternally.

Problem with this series (which I love) is that it hit its formula and stuck to it.

My favourite episodes are the ones that remind us that JD is one of the more screwed up characters in the series. That, and the Todd being hung by his underpants several storeys up.

I liked the series up to and including Season 5. My problem was that somehow by the middle of Season 5 the writers seemed to hate the character of JD and turned him from an odd but loveable geek into a completely emasculated jerk that got punched in the crotch each and every week by the things the writers came up with.

Hint: It's bad screwing with the main character in such a way, especially if people strongly identify with him.

My issue with JD is not that he gets hit in the crotch, it's that he keeps letting himself get hit in the crotch.

Series 8 would be a nice wind-up.

I agree this should be a nice season to end the show. This does bring in the possible spin-off though that has already shown a few web-isodes, those being of the current interns. Anyone watch any of those yet? I saw the first one, and it wasn't bad. It had some aspects that made me like the show in the first place. Some of which were too close to just being the first season and almost direct copy, others seem like good twists and just different enough to be entertaining. It was enough to make me want to watch another web-isode or two

Scrubs has the best music selection of any TV series, ever.

That episode with Colin Hay singing an acoustic version of 'Overkill' immediately springs to mind.

Although, yeah, the season opener or closer (I forgot which it was, was around an open/close of a season) with him singing Overkill was great. Especially with Cox breaking the guitar against the wall  :thumbs_up:

Watched the first three episodes of this season. That was enough for me to know that I just don't like the show much anymore. I have serious nostalgia for the first couple of seasons, but it's just not that show anymore. Took it off the DVR.

The new season is strange and unfunny. The new episodes have given me a couple of chuckles at most.

I don't know, Scrubs is still good, still the best sitcom out there IMO.  They seem to be burning thru the episodes though, showing two at a time.  Still I wouldn't mind if this is the last season, end while the quality is still good.

I quite liked it up until I think partway through the 4th season where JD started sleeping with the ebil lawyer who was suing Turk for malpractice, and totally lacked all balls. The shitty combo there turned me off the series and I haven't watched since...

I'm trying to figure out if they're trying to be funny, or taking the show in a more thoughtful and reflective direction, lining it up for a conclusion.

Also, the Janitor is probably the most consistently awesome character.

Janitor is fucking amazing. It's weird to see him in other things now, and just funny as hell to see him in The Fugitive now.

This has easily been the best season since the first two.  The impersonation skit episode from the other day was hilarious.

Carla, trying to convince him that he didn't see her pluck a nasty-long boob hair has him questioning everything.  To which he mutters "Maybe I really wasn't in the Fugitive."

Wait, is this show back on? I heard that ABC was picking it up, but the Tivo hasn't been catching it since it moved (if it, indeed, has). Need to change up the queue, I guess.

The new season feels pretty forced but since I'm such a fanboy I'm just glad to see the character do what they do.

Anyway, I agree. It feels like they're really forcing the episodes, but I'm getting the same feel that I did during the first few seasons.

That really got me too, it was so perfect.

Really, really great finale.  Even got a bit teary eyed in the last 5 minutes.

It didn't do anything for me.  It was the kind of thing Seinfeld was trying to avoid.

I thought they wrapped it up nicely. Nice end to a great show that has given me much enjoyment over the years.

I thought the end was good, and they did a great job on it. The episode before the ending was absolutely amazing though, easily one of my favorite episodes.

I thought the ending was great.  I'm pretty torn about the show coming back and missing some cast members.  But if Bill Lawrence is doing it, it still might be good.

If they can keep the same writing and basic style of Scrubs, i don't see it being horrible.  It will definitely be different watching it though.

Wait, what?  I thought they were going to be teaching at a med school and Turk and Cox were going to be the leads.  JD is still around?  But I did hear that he is only in the first few episodes.  I'm also gld they are keeping that tough blonde doc; she is funny and sexy as hell.

Who cares if Carla and Janitor are gone, will miss Elliott though, yummy.

Sarah Chalke seems to get hotter with each new season. The finale had her at the best I've ever seen her.

That sucked.   Calling the over/under for cancellation at 7 episodes.  Only reason I give it that many is because they showed 2 tonight.

It was a little weird but I enjoyed it.  Had some good laughs.  Lots of blonde hot doctors and students yes?  Not enough Turk though.  


I'm glad they kept the tough blonde doc.  I think "No. 1" looks like a younger Dr. Cox.  It was kinda weird.  I wonder why ABC insists on burning through Scrubs episodes?  And why did they wait until after sweeps?  Still, I'm glad it's on Tuesday, finally something to watch that night.

I caught this on Hulu and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

Ha, I had the same thought.  But I'm pretty sure I did miss 3 seasons or so.

The highlight of both episodes was seeing Sarah Chalke's pregnancy enhanced bewbs.  They've made JD a complete caricature of himself, totally demasculinized Turk, the Janitor is gone, no Ted, no Carla, no Jordan.  Cox is just about the only bright spot in the show.

Well, him and the smoking hot Australian intern.

Colbert actually had a good rip on scrubs in his show last night and I agree with the sentiment. Clerks already ended, they had a good finale and even showed the cast members with behind the scenes footage. I did like the show a lot but blatant money grabs like this make me lose respect for the show and the actors involved.  It's sad to see that they couldn't get jobs outside scrubs but seriously, just let it go.

late edit but i just realized i called scrubs clerks, how freudian.

The first two episodes were better than I thought they would be, but that's still nowhere near as good as the old stuff. I'm dealing with it by trying to frame it as not-scrubs, rather a new show. It's watchable, but I doubt I'll be waiting to catch it each week, and will rather just burn through 2-3 episodes now and again; assuming it survives.
