Title: Scrubs Post by: SnakeCharmer on January 07, 2009, 08:49:32 PM Seasons 1-4: Really good.
Seasons 5-7: Not all that. Season openers: More in the vein of season 1-4. Much much better. Sarah Chalke is still smoking hot. Discuss. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Slayerik on January 07, 2009, 08:53:48 PM Always enjoyed the show. She is fuckin' SEXAY.
Good for 20 minutes of time killin on DVR for sure. I only saw the earlier seasons though so....... Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Samwise on January 07, 2009, 09:00:37 PM (http://dl-client3.getdropbox.com/u/40386/Avatars/cox-dance.gif)

Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Nebu on January 08, 2009, 09:29:38 AM Scrubs = most accurate representation of hospital life on tv. Period.
I loved the first three seasons. When they became attendings, I lost all interest. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: voodoolily on January 08, 2009, 09:35:57 AM I have a huge crush on Zach Braff, who somewhat resembles my sexah husband.
One of my favorite Scrubs moments was when Turk sang the Sanford and Sons theme with different words at Carla. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Segoris on January 08, 2009, 09:38:48 AM This is still one of my favorite shows. Yes the quality has gone down a bit, but it's still great. Now does that mean everything else on TV sucks or that the show was just that good to a point where even losing some quality it was still great?
Don Faison (Turk) is way too talented http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lL4L4Uv5rf0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiUmLHKY890 And yeah, Sarah Chalke is a fucking hottie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OMGA_h_jcc Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Segoris on January 08, 2009, 09:42:17 AM One of my favorite Scrubs moments was when Turk sang the Sanford and Sons theme with different words at Carla. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Ookii on January 08, 2009, 10:36:04 AM One day I'll make a post that walks people through making animated gifs. It literally takes 5 minutes.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Merusk on January 08, 2009, 10:38:38 AM What do you use to make them, ooki? I've got an old copy of Jasc Animation Shop I use but you seem to be implying there's an easier way.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Samwise on January 08, 2009, 10:47:55 AM I use this thing called AVD Video Processor that works pretty well. The hardest part is always finding a video file to use as the source (i.e. torrenting it or ripping the DVD to a useful format).

Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: UnSub on January 12, 2009, 07:07:37 AM Problem with this series (which I love) is that it hit its formula and stuck to it.
My favourite episodes are the ones that remind us that JD is one of the more screwed up characters in the series. That, and the Todd being hung by his underpants several storeys up. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Jeff Kelly on January 12, 2009, 07:48:34 AM My favourite episodes are the ones that remind us that JD is one of the more screwed up characters in the series. That, and the Todd being hung by his underpants several storeys up. I liked the series up to and including Season 5. My problem was that somehow by the middle of Season 5 the writers seemed to hate the character of JD and turned him from an odd but loveable geek into a completely emasculated jerk that got punched in the crotch each and every week by the things the writers came up with. Hint: It's bad screwing with the main character in such a way, especially if people strongly identify with him. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: UnSub on January 12, 2009, 05:49:04 PM My issue with JD is not that he gets hit in the crotch, it's that he keeps letting himself get hit in the crotch.
Series 8 would be a nice wind-up. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Segoris on January 12, 2009, 06:39:41 PM My issue with JD is not that he gets hit in the crotch, it's that he keeps letting himself get hit in the crotch. Series 8 would be a nice wind-up. I agree this should be a nice season to end the show. This does bring in the possible spin-off though that has already shown a few web-isodes, those being of the current interns. Anyone watch any of those yet? I saw the first one, and it wasn't bad. It had some aspects that made me like the show in the first place. Some of which were too close to just being the first season and almost direct copy, others seem like good twists and just different enough to be entertaining. It was enough to make me want to watch another web-isode or two Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: K9 on January 13, 2009, 06:02:06 AM Scrubs has the best music selection of any TV series, ever.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Nevermore on January 13, 2009, 06:53:17 AM That episode with Colin Hay singing an acoustic version of 'Overkill' immediately springs to mind.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Segoris on January 13, 2009, 07:05:09 AM That episode with Colin Hay singing..... That sums up about half the soundtrack Although, yeah, the season opener or closer (I forgot which it was, was around an open/close of a season) with him singing Overkill was great. Especially with Cox breaking the guitar against the wall  Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Morat20 on January 15, 2009, 10:01:21 AM That episode with Colin Hay singing..... Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Brogarn on January 15, 2009, 11:09:33 AM Watched the first three episodes of this season. That was enough for me to know that I just don't like the show much anymore. I have serious nostalgia for the first couple of seasons, but it's just not that show anymore. Took it off the DVR.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Tarami on January 15, 2009, 11:23:02 AM The new season is strange and unfunny. The new episodes have given me a couple of chuckles at most.

One major character leaving is probably worth watching through. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: HaemishM on January 16, 2009, 12:39:04 PM Scrubs has the best music selection of any TV series, ever. Negative. Life On Mars (UK) > all. Yes. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Tannhauser on January 17, 2009, 05:33:49 AM I don't know, Scrubs is still good, still the best sitcom out there IMO. They seem to be burning thru the episodes though, showing two at a time. Still I wouldn't mind if this is the last season, end while the quality is still good.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Azazel on January 30, 2009, 05:44:26 AM I quite liked it up until I think partway through the 4th season where JD started sleeping with the ebil lawyer who was suing Turk for malpractice, and totally lacked all balls. The shitty combo there turned me off the series and I haven't watched since...
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: K9 on January 30, 2009, 03:02:10 PM The new season is strange and unfunny. The new episodes have given me a couple of chuckles at most. I'm trying to figure out if they're trying to be funny, or taking the show in a more thoughtful and reflective direction, lining it up for a conclusion. Also, the Janitor is probably the most consistently awesome character. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Segoris on January 30, 2009, 03:40:41 PM The new season is strange and unfunny. Oddly enough, I think his best bit is in season 8. I couldn't stop laughing at this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81TfkUhimGY) Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: NowhereMan on January 31, 2009, 05:49:03 PM  Janitor.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Evil Elvis on February 12, 2009, 08:41:21 PM This has easily been the best season since the first two. The impersonation skit episode from the other day was hilarious.
"We can go flatter!" Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: K9 on February 13, 2009, 04:18:54 AM Also Eliza Coupe is both smoking hot, and one of the most interesting new characters on the show in years.

It's weird to see him in other things now, and just funny as hell to see him in The Fugitive now. There was a reference to that in one of this week's episodes. I couldn't stop laughing. Carla, trying to convince him that he didn't see her pluck a nasty-long boob hair has him questioning everything. To which he mutters "Maybe I really wasn't in the Fugitive." Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: voodoolily on February 13, 2009, 12:34:51 PM Wait, is this show back on? I heard that ABC was picking it up, but the Tivo hasn't been catching it since it moved (if it, indeed, has). Need to change up the queue, I guess.

Dr Cox's failed standing back flip :awesome_for_real: Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Nevermore on May 18, 2009, 06:57:30 AM I thought they wrapped it up nicely. (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i505437152ed71367b14b89a4b157dea2) Apparently ABC is going to try to squeeze every last bit of life out of this show. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: NowhereMan on May 18, 2009, 07:43:10 AM That is sadder than the actual finale. They've got it gone on a nice note, it's buried don't go digging it up to force it turn a few cheap tricks.

It will definitely be different watching it though.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Tannhauser on November 16, 2009, 03:39:23 AM Wait, what? I thought they were going to be teaching at a med school and Turk and Cox were going to be the leads. JD is still around? But I did hear that he is only in the first few episodes. I'm also gld they are keeping that tough blonde doc; she is funny and sexy as hell.
Who cares if Carla and Janitor are gone, will miss Elliott though, yummy. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: K9 on November 16, 2009, 07:12:03 AM mmh, hmm.
Really not sure whether this is a good thing or a tiresome thing. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Nebu on November 16, 2009, 10:30:04 AM I pretty much lost interest after season 4. Seems a good call.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: LK on November 16, 2009, 01:39:47 PM Sarah Chalke seems to get hotter with each new season. The finale had her at the best I've ever seen her.
Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: SnakeCharmer on December 01, 2009, 06:57:41 PM OK.
That sucked. Calling the over/under for cancellation at 7 episodes. Only reason I give it that many is because they showed 2 tonight. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Tannhauser on December 02, 2009, 03:40:12 AM It was a little weird but I enjoyed it. Had some good laughs. Lots of blonde hot doctors and students yes? Not enough Turk though.
I'm glad they kept the tough blonde doc. I think "No. 1" looks like a younger Dr. Cox. It was kinda weird. I wonder why ABC insists on burning through Scrubs episodes? And why did they wait until after sweeps? Still, I'm glad it's on Tuesday, finally something to watch that night. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: MrHat on December 03, 2009, 05:22:21 AM What the fuck?
Did I miss like 3 seasons? JD married the blonde and their pregnant? Didn't he already try that? Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Ookii on December 03, 2009, 07:10:25 AM I only made it through the first episode, unless someone reports this gets good my final memory of Scrubs will happen at Sacred Heart.
And they're not fucking teaching. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Samwise on December 03, 2009, 09:11:23 AM What the fuck? Did I miss like 3 seasons? JD married the blonde and their pregnant? Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: SnakeCharmer on December 03, 2009, 09:17:41 AM The highlight of both episodes was seeing Sarah Chalke's pregnancy enhanced bewbs. They've made JD a complete caricature of himself, totally demasculinized Turk, the Janitor is gone, no Ted, no Carla, no Jordan. Cox is just about the only bright spot in the show.
Well, him and the smoking hot Australian intern. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: Lakov_Sanite on December 03, 2009, 12:52:49 PM Colbert actually had a good rip on scrubs in his show last night and I agree with the sentiment. Clerks already ended, they had a good finale and even showed the cast members with behind the scenes footage. I did like the show a lot but blatant money grabs like this make me lose respect for the show and the actors involved. It's sad to see that they couldn't get jobs outside scrubs but seriously, just let it go.
late edit but i just realized i called scrubs clerks, how freudian. Title: Re: Scrubs Post by: K9 on December 08, 2009, 05:34:00 AM The first two episodes were better than I thought they would be, but that's still nowhere near as good as the old stuff. I'm dealing with it by trying to frame it as not-scrubs, rather a new show. It's watchable, but I doubt I'll be waiting to catch it each week, and will rather just burn through 2-3 episodes now and again; assuming it survives.
