Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Strazos on January 01, 2009, 06:52:20 AM My current forum time is showing up as 2008....did I somehow slip into a time vortex or some nonsense since I was asleep by 10 or 11pm?
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: schild on January 01, 2009, 07:42:51 AM Ohhhh that explains why the new post thing is so wonky. Interesting.
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: rattran on January 01, 2009, 07:43:15 AM The year was so much fun, we're repeating it! But yeah, nice server clock fix.
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: schild on January 01, 2009, 07:46:18 AM I regret to inform everyone, but we didn't get a dedicated server. We're running f13 on a 30GB Zune. It's a leap year and we're fucked.

Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Xuri on January 01, 2009, 01:55:52 PM Are you implying that we have already screwed up 2009 once before?
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Johny Cee on January 01, 2009, 05:17:59 PM Ugh.
I've had a nasty stomach virus the last week, so I passed out on the couch last night at 9PM. Of course, the good (or scary) part of that is I weighed myself this morning.... Nothing like the sick-as-a-dog diet to drop 10 lbs in a week. I should culture up some germs and market this! Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Venkman on January 01, 2009, 06:22:41 PM Ok we're now only one year before Rpy Scheider returns to Jupiter to find out wtf happened to HAL. Where's my moonbase?
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Strazos on January 01, 2009, 06:28:07 PM Aww...I thought we were going back in time....

I imagine that Hell itself is something similar. Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Tarami on January 01, 2009, 08:06:01 PM Test... Ugh, I have had that once. It's the worst I've felt in my entire life. I imagine that Hell itself is something similar. I had that February last year. I seriously just sat on the couch with my face in my hands for about 5 hours (with breaks so go puke my guts out about every 20 minutes). Went away right after that. Post by: Sky on January 02, 2009, 09:12:25 AM Couldn't find any Laurent & Perrier, had to go with some Moet imperial. Not bad stuff.
I've decided that NYE tv shows are completely useless. Tune in at 11:59. What a slew of soulless, talentless hacks. The only parts we enjoyed were David Cook (doing his boring single, though, stay away from Cornell, Dave) and the band backing...well, I dunno the punk's name, the one on Angry Fergie's whoreshow who looked like Leo DiCaprio's gay little brother. His band fucking rocked, as hired guns often do. I don't know who 95% of those people were. And that's ok. Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! You're one of the lucky ones then. Mine lasted for several days. Yah. I had the week long version, and it was ridiculous. I actually was counting my calories of intake because it was getting that bad (one day I had a banana, the next day two pieces of toast, day after I managed to choke down three pieces of toast), and my hydration was shit because I couldn't keep down more than half a cup of liquid in a reasonable amount of time. The really, really, really shitty part? I'm a tax accountant with a bunch of different clients that need year end planning, so I still had to go in to work for at least a few hours at a time, because no one could cover me on it. Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Samwise on January 02, 2009, 09:37:01 PM Gatorade is your friend when you can't keep plain old water down. Or at least it is if the nausea is alcohol-induced -- not sure if it works for stomach flu also.

Yes, it works for me when I was shooting stuff out of both ends.Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Signe on January 03, 2009, 08:05:31 PM Infusion of catnip in your tea. Seriously. Fennel, too. Both in a glycerin base is ideal. Ginger is good, too. If you don't believe me, just ask my sister. She's always making me drink this shit but it works.
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: schild on January 03, 2009, 09:32:58 PM Or.... you could just drink gatorade and not be repulsed.

Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Signe on January 04, 2009, 08:57:48 AM It's for real. The only nice bit is the tea. Most of the things she gives me when I'm sick tastes awful even if it does work.
Title: Re: Happy arbitrarty orbit point day! Post by: Samwise on January 04, 2009, 10:56:11 AM Fennel/ginger tea sounds tasty. It's been too long since I had a cat to remember what catnip might taste like, but it's in the mint family and I like mint.
