This was far better than I was expecting. A rare case where a movie takes a ludicrous plot, doesn't camp it up at all - treats it totally seriously, and it still works. I was expecting camp based on the original, but instead got a pretty exciting "stupid action movie". I also admit to having an old guy nerdgasm upon hearing Frankenstein's voice in the opening scene. I expected your usual Statham over the top crap, but it managed to control his need to show off.
Slight derail: If anyone has Transporter 1, watch it with commentary. It's hard to not hate Statham for being so full of himself.
