Title: Let's rig an online contest!
Post by: NiX on November 12, 2008, 12:38:59 PM
I'm pulling a VDL on this one. My Aunt has informed me that shes entered my cousin into a Cutest Baby Contest. As with all internet contests it's really about who can wrangle up enough votes and not really about the contest itself. So I'm hoping people here can help. It's 1 vote per day, per IP. So, you can vote from home AND work :awesome_for_real:

Anywho, just click here to vote (http://vibemorningshow.com/Vote.html?ID=1478).

And just to prove I'm not just throwing the link at you cause my cousin might be some hideous child, here's a picture! He's so damn cute. :hello_kitty_2:

Is your Aunt going to be a stage-mom? Evil personified. This is like the first step down a dangerous road.

I voted without knowing I was voting!  :oh_i_see:

Clicking that link as an autovote makes it easy, and I don't even have to look at the other possibly ugly babies.

What's the reward?

What's the reward?

From what she sent me...

Quote
We could win a years worth of groceries, a 3 year lease on a van, 5 years worth of photos or clothes for a year.

Of course for them this is all like gold. They live in Alberta and with the recent oil boom the economy there has gone into super inflation mode.

Schild, seriously...

I almost want to pop a cute baby out for this prize. Maybe I could fabricate an infant.

What? You didn't have the reward in the first post. You know me, assume the worst. It makes anything better that much more... better.

Last time I voted for a pizza and it fluked despite being awesome so I guess you can get my 255 daily votes too.
I did however win 2 studio days for a band, best regional band x4, best garden, best provincial poem (haha) and miss whateverthefuck times I don't want to remember and I once faked a balloon contest because one of our sales representatives in spain send the stupid card back and we won a week in euro disney! Wish I had been on hallucinogenic drugs but hey, Eurodisney was still fun.

Before I vote, I'd like to hear your cousin's position on:

-Roe vs Wade
-Offshore drilling
-Palin in 2012

Because, frankly, voting in the most attractive candidate is often a risky proposition.

Really?  Where in Alberta??
My kid's the cutest damn baby in Alberta.. well he's a Toddler now so probably doesn't count, but still!

Really?  Where in Alberta??
I actually don't know, which is kind of sad. They used to live just inside Calgary near the airport as far as I recall. Haven't been there in a long time.

Contest ends Nov. 27. Vote, damn you! VOTE! :drill:

I vot'd. I don't care either way about the baby, the contest nor about NIX or his aunt - I just click links when I see them.

Are we supposed to be voting on which child we find most attractive?  I'm not falling for an obvious sting like that.

I voted for your cousin, but I think it was counted for Pat Buchanan.  Which is fine.

I may be changing my vote tomorrow, though:

After you've voted for the baby, click below and vote for Meatboy in the bottom right. An f13er did the music!
