My brother dropped a 10 day scroll on me, I happened to have my wife's account still with a 56 hunter.

They must have cranked leveling cause I made 59 without breaking a sweat really. Just curious if anyone out there has any experience with hunter builds, I am currently running a heavy beastmaster one for leveling. So, a recommended 60-70 spec would be cool. I have done some googling but I'm not sure if I trust random_intarnetard420.

The top-level BM talent (Beast Mastery) gives you 4 bonus pet talent points, and lets you tame exotic pets.

Oh yeah, pet skills are completely different now. I recommend Petopia (http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/) to get you up to speed quickly.

Be sure to check out the changes to volley.  It's finally worth using.

Don't ressurect. Use the recruit a friend bonus. Triple experience. Hear guys who do 1-70 in a day, but those have no life. Mortals can probably pull it off fairly fast with that insane bonus.

I don't think Recruit-A-Friend applies to existing accounts, only new ones created with a Recruit-a-friend code.

Yes, the ideal thing to do here is resurrect if you have a toon you are attached to for whatever reason, and then entice a friend to play with recruit-a-friend.

I've seen people level in a reasonable amount of time.  1-70 in a week is what I mean by reasonable.

1-60 goes very quickly.  It's the thought of doing hellfire and the swamp again that keeps me from coming back.  I don't know why, but I have a mental block toward those zones.

Nebu, they've upped the xp gain in Outlands now, so it goes very quickly also - so I hear, anyway.  Since last patch.

Exp required is almost, but not quite cut in half from 60-70 now.  69-70 takes about as much exp as 63-64 did pre-patch.  If you're 60 when you start Outland, you'll be 70 before finishing Nagrand if you do all the quests in each zone successively.  If you don't care about completing every zone, grab the good quests, skip what you don't like, and go all over the place.

Nice to know that the grind was lessened.  I've leveled 3 toons to 70 and I'm just not sure I could stomach it again... especially solo.  I really have wanted to experience the dungeons in the game but never had the luxury of playing with a solid group of people.  We almost had it for a month there with Bat country, but we just couldn't field a group often enough to keep people interested. 

WoW is a good game that would be better with a steady group.  I guess that's the standard mantra for any MMO.

It was like that before if you only leveled on rested.  I wonder if you even finish both Zangarmarsh and Terokkar before hitting 70 if you only use rested now.

Is that one of the superhigh pop servers that's now being offered free character moves?

My levelling has been sporadic as I went back to do a fair few classic quests (and grinding out mats for epic 'lock mount as well as the quest chain which netted me an unfeasible amount of xp) before finishing all the quests in Hellfire. Due to alt levelling and time away from the game, I had max rested so I hit Zangarmarsh post patch at ~66.5. I did all the quests there (and one or two dailies) and hit 68 last night. Then I toured Outland getting all flight points and Trick or Treat buckets (at 6k xp a pop) as well as picking up a fair few buckets in the old world and then I ground out some Necrotic runes at an invasion shard.  I'm now 68.5 and just heading into Terrokar. I reckon I will definitely be 70 before I hit Nagrand.

I've never done a single Outland instance.

Would be nice.  I remember getting 2 levels per zone on full rested XP to get from 60-70 and finally hit 70 on the first set of quests in Netherstorm after having done 98% of the quests in very zone except Shadowmoon and NS.
