Title: Innocent Blood Post by: stray on October 19, 2008, 01:09:11 AM I can never decide on things like "Greatest Vampire Movie Ever", let alone greatest movie ever, but this one easily fits in my best of list somewhere. Fits every criteria for good film, for me personally. Vampires, mafia, hot french chicks, comedy, automobiles brutally smacking into things...
Robert Loggia has never been better. Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: FatuousTwat on October 19, 2008, 02:12:13 AM Blade 2 is obviously the best vampire movie ever made.
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: stray on October 19, 2008, 03:12:36 AM Not sure if you're serious or not, but the Blade series is something I haven't made it through yet... One of those big films that I [unintentionally] keep on ignoring... Like Jurassic Park and Apollo 13.
Innocent Blood is good though... Felt like mentioning it since Fifth Element was mentioned, and Anne Parillaud was Luc Besson's original Nikita. She makes a super sexy (and funny) vamp. It's also directed by John Landis, who did American Werewolf in London...and is pretty much in the spirit of that (not to mention, he did some of the post SNL comedies of the 80's... Spies Like Us, Trading Places, Three Amigos, Coming to America, Animal House, Blues Brothers). Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: FatuousTwat on October 19, 2008, 09:53:32 PM I was joking. I caught Innocent Blood late at night a few months ago, and it was good.
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: Bunk on October 20, 2008, 06:23:15 AM Innocent Blood is good though... Felt like mentioning it since Fifth Element was mentioned, and Anne Parillaud was Luc Besson's FIFY Good fun movie. Blade 2 was pure horseshit, and I liked the other two Blade movies. Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: WindupAtheist on October 20, 2008, 01:15:46 PM Are you shitting me? Blade 2 was good. Blade 3 was a travesty.
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: Bunk on October 20, 2008, 01:53:28 PM What was good? The crappy 15 minute Mortal Combat CGI fight against Cat in the beginning? The fact they spend half an hour introing all these cool bad guys, and then have the badder badguys slaughter them in a 3 second fight scene? The retarted Photon Grenades? Blade's cool Macho Man elbow drop on to the big baddie?
It was a funny movie that was trying to be serious. Blade 3 at least new it was going to be cheesy camp and went with it. Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: ahoythematey on October 20, 2008, 02:59:59 PM Just to throw in my own comment on the best vampire movie most people don't know about, I'll probably go with this one (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112527/).
Though if you asked what my favorite is I'd probably say Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: stray on October 20, 2008, 03:17:59 PM Definitely haven't seen it. That looks cool.
Dead and Loving It is great.... Peter MacNicol's Renfield had me in tears. Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: ahoythematey on October 20, 2008, 03:40:03 PM Not another enema :ye_gods:
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: Broughden on October 20, 2008, 07:39:35 PM Havent seen this one. Is it new? Is it on PPV?
My top favorites in order of preference are. Underworld (the original Part 2 sucked) Interview With a Vampire (if only the rest of Anne Rice's books could have been made this well with this quality of actors) Blade Part 3 Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: FatuousTwat on October 20, 2008, 08:05:58 PM What about Dracula 2000? EH? EHHHHH?
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: stray on October 21, 2008, 02:44:13 AM No, this isn't new. Early 90's.
Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: Bunk on October 21, 2008, 06:24:48 AM What about Dracula 2000? EH? EHHHHH? But have you seen the two sequals? I have. :awesome_for_real: Title: Re: Innocent Blood Post by: HaemishM on October 21, 2008, 10:19:11 AM Are you shitting me? Blade 2 was good. Blade 3 was a travesty.
