Weird that it is on the exact same day as when he got off in 1995. Almost karmic.

I'm wondering when the sentencing will be.  In federal court, its a 3-4 month process (presentence report, etc.).  But at least in some state courts, its guilty one day and sentencing the next.  I don't know how Nevada does it though. 

They set it for Dec. 5. 

With those charges he is basically going to get 15 or 20 to life as a minimum sentence. Best he can hope for is concurrent on everything.  Even if his appeal is successful he is likely going to be in prison for a couple of years.

Hmm, I kept hearing up to life in prison but always assumed that was a max, and he'd really get 2 or 3.  You'd think someone who narrowly skated by in 1994 would toe the law-abiding line the rest of his life.  Not wise to tempt fate. 

The kidnapping charge is a 15 year minimum from what they have been saying.

Knowing the American justice system, OJ will probably get the verdict overturned on appeal (based on jury bias, unreliable prosecution witnesses, shaky evidence etc.) I read that the guy he was convicted with, has a good chance to reverse the judgment since there was no way in hell he was going to get a fair trial with OJ as a co-defendant. If the accomplice gets the verdict reversed, so will OJ's.

OJ is not stupid, as long as he still has that trust fund (his sole income that cannot be touched by the Goldman's lawsuit) to keep feeding to his lawyers - he will get off again and again. In fact, his very notoriety will help him as he can argue that every jury trial he receives will be inherently unfair... He is untouchable because he is scum!

Well, to be completely fair, it's always been possible to buy the laws you want to have, all the way back as far as the history of the world goes.  No system of government has figured out how to avoid that yet.

Making bribing easier and legal (by calling it campaign contributions) helps tremendously, though. Of course, the upside is you see who bought which politician.

This statement is simply wrong. 

He takes a leap from his hate of OJ and his previous Dream Team of high priced lawyers to a blatant falsehood that has no basis in reality.  I won't dig down into the legal details but the fact that the defendants were tried together does not mean that their appeals are tied together in perpetuity. 

OJ has a chance to get the kidnapping conviction reversed on appeal.  Great, now what about the other 11 charges that OJ was convicted on?  Those convictions will stand.

His co-defendant's appeals have little bearing on his convictions. 

The only element of this that gives him even a remote chance of success is the Batson stuff.

All the jury interviews afterward mean NOTHING.  Jury deliberation is a black box, and appeals courts simply can't dissect every post-trial statement a juror makes.  It is almost unprecedented to inquire into the actual juror deliberations (or to even consider statements jurors voluntarily make to the press afterward), and I am 99.99% sure it won't happen here.
