So Nintendo put on a conference in Japan and one in the US that included some honest to god real games for the "hardcore" crowd. Punch Out, Sin and Punishment 2, Klonoa, Mario and Luigi 3, a bunch of other stuff. (Find more details using the power of the internet)

Had this been Nintendo's E3 conference they would have looked so much better. A single screenshot of Sin and Punishment 2 looks better than anything they showed at E3. (Although I do love me some wii sports)

I still have my first gen one. I grew tired of buying new models of Nintendo portables after buying the original GBA, the GBA Pocket, then the GBA color.

Ya, it's got cameras and an SD slot.

And no GBA slot.

The Punch-Out looks like win.

Dude, I was perfectly willing to give the wii controls a shot 2 years ago, but....

For fuck's sake, I haven't yet played a single game where I liked the damn waggle, besides wii sports and rayman.

FFS, the best game on the system is best played with a GC control.

They hinted that it would include Wii Motion Plus support.

Whether I'm interested or not, I have to ignore anything you say about the Wii or any of it's software because of the way you wear the Nintendo Wiihate t-shirt.

And a boxing game using waggle is one of the few things on Wii that could interest me.

I'm simply confused as to why they're discontinuing GBA support on the new DS. 

Maybe they'll make a device that allows you to port the GBA carts to SD cards... that can happen, right?  right???

Looks exactly like the one to SNES / NES. As a matter of fact, if it hadn't been for the ip and it being the Wii, it would look more like a sub standard PSN / XBLA game. The GUI looks like shit, and the crowd in the back looks like a textured plane animated with 2 - 3 frames. It looks cheap, but I guess that's beside the point as long as it has waggle.

Fuck.  They are going to ruin my punch-out with the motion sensor bullshit?  Does Nintendo really hate fun that much now?  :(

The stuff coming out about Mad World and The Conduit is good stuff. The Conduit is the best looking game on the system bar none, and Mad World just looks like a plate full of awesome slathered in awesome sauce.

I don't want to have to start paying attention to Nintendo releases again.  Not until I'm done with My Life as a King and Boom Blox, anyway.

Looking over the list quickly, this is what I cut it down to:
Monster Lab
Animal Crossing
Fatal Frame
And some stuff that would be a real stretch to check out.

Damn, I forgot about Monster Lab. That looks like a fun campy game.

Yeah, it looks good, plus Atlus is publishing, so here's hoping.

I don't really have high hopes for Animal Crossing being anything other than a scaled-up version of the DS game, but it will probably still be fun.  Might give me an excuse to actually communicate with my Wii friends.

Oh yeah, Cave Story is getting the WiiWare treatment. I hope the little Japanese dude who solo-coded the game over FIVE YEARS gets a good portion of the funds because I'm buying it just to support him for making an awesome game.

Not so much that I care to bash the Wiimote or not, it's the fact that it's not even Punch Out then.

EDIT:  Scratch that:  I need it to play 'cube games.

That said, I wish I had a reason to boot my Wii besides RE4, Gladius and SSBM.

I turn mine on for My Life as a King and Boom Blox.  Maybe something else, not sure... there's always Super Metroid, Mario Galaxy and SMW, but maybe we are not talking about VC games.

Get some friends and some booze and Boom Blox is loads of fun.

Every game (EVERY GAME) is more fun with booze.

Booze is why I cannot remember the last half of the Penguin chapter of LEGO Batman.

Actually I do not like to be drunk when gaming since it dulls the experience. Drinking at most any other time is :drill:
