Title: PVE->PVP Server Transfers now available! Post by: Ralence on September 11, 2008, 12:53:47 PM They finally realized that it's not difficult to level on a pvp server.
www.worldofwarcraft.com is the best link I have, it's on the frontpage, no forum post concerning it. Personally, I don't think it's a big deal at all. I leveled my rogue from 1-70 on a PVP server in the past month, and I was actually ganked all of three times I think. More often than not the Alliance folks come up and /wave at me to let me know they're there. Maybe it's just the fact that people are trying to level as fast as possible now to get ready for WoTLK, but nonetheless, good for the people stuck on those barren PVE servers! If they are really that good, then this should provide them with easy "carebear" targets to slaughter. Because people not having to suffer through getting ganked in STV or whatever while leveling somehow devalues their experience and slaps them in the face. That exact argument has been used as the reason 'not to' allow this ever since EQ first introduced character x-fers. Not a version of it, not a resonating idea. I've got a level 60-something on a PVE server but went back to an old RP-PVP server. I know have a full roster of characters and NOWHERE whatsoever to bring this guy over to. For whatever reason, the large majority of raiding guilds are on PvP servers. People never transfer from PvP to PvE even though they technically can because they end up in "PvExile" and cut off 2/3 of their potential future options. Since this announcement we've had dozens of people inquiring about applying to join us, it's somewhat entertaining.

What a trip through time! She has a stack of blinding powder, really crummy gear, very little rep with anyone - I'm not even sure if talents were in then - I guess they were? Maybe I just didn't know how to use them? Hinterlands was explored, but last time I played her, there was no flight point or even Revantusk Village in existence. They were in.. but Rogues have gotten several free respecs over the years so your talents were despecced and you never got to spec them again. By the way..
