IE7 keeps pissing me off -- I'll open up a ton of tabs, and then suddenly one of them will lose the menu bar, hang at "connecting....", and prevent any new tabs (or right-click menus) from opening until I kill that tab.Then I have to replace the menu bar, and once that little fuckup occurs, it starts happening regularly when opening tabs until I kill that instance if IE. Strangely, the only trouble I've ever had with IE7 is that with XP, it crashes occasionally when I try to load the F13 forums. Nowhere else, specifically F13. Title: Re: New IE(8) on the way. Fsck that and MS eschewing W3C thinking they are and set the standard… And there are still bugs in IE7 upgrade that weren't addressed… If you are a web developer and you don't use Firefox, you're not much of a developer (unless you're developing MSIE only intranet applications reliant totally on .NET, SQL Server, Silverlight, etc.…)… …all of the add-ons and extensions make it the most utilitarian but I think I have so many installed that it is why Firefox bails on me from time to time… …for pure browsing now, I use Camino (which is a OS X stripped down Gecko engine)… …Safari has improved vastly but there are some UI points that I prefer the FF model… (http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/firefox_wicca.png) Title: Re: New IE(8) on the way. For example IE 7 may support PNG transparency in a standards compliant way but I won't be able to ditch the IE 5.5/6 workarounds for at least another 2-3 years. I wish they would just friggen break all currently installed versions of IE prior to 7. Took me a few days to get used to 7 but I like it way better than 6 now. IE's main security flaw is it's popularity, someone looking to exploit isn't going to worry about percentages of security flaws in different browsers, instead they will focus on how many people use said browsers and with IE over the 70% mark it is a no brainer.
