Title: Bumping! Post by: Der Helm on March 02, 2008, 04:33:14 PM How is it done ? And what is it good for ?
Title: Re: Bumping! Post by: Slayerik on March 02, 2008, 04:41:24 PM Its mainly used to get an enemy off a station dock point, or gate jump in point. This is best accomplished by a big ship going fast, I have seen Machariels (fast faction BS) bump guys like 30km off a gate.
The generic way of doing it is with MWD and Approach. Sometime you need to bump a guy before he gets back to a gate, so you have to pick a line that would intercept him. Sometimes you have to get into position so the angle you run into him at will correctly get him off the gate, where you can web and own him. Title: Re: Bumping! Post by: dwindlehop on March 03, 2008, 11:26:18 AM Mass matters, so use hardwirings, snakes, overdrives, and gang bonuses before you resort to nanofibers and polycarbs.

Though CCP pretends the latter never happens. Title: Re: Bumping! Post by: Slayerik on March 04, 2008, 05:39:04 AM Got to see a Machariel do another 40km bump last night, resulting in a Broadsword kill for us. Woot.
