Title: Steam / CoD4: Die in a fire.... Post by: SnakeCharmer on January 29, 2008, 05:25:56 PM Trying to install CoD4, but getting a hang up at "Preparing to Launch Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare".
It's 100 percent downloaded, ready to go...but that. FWIW, googled it and didn't find much on it. CoD4 website is bunk. Also, running 64bit Vista Premium. Everything is 'normal' stuff. Title: Re: Steam / CoD4: Die in a fire.... Post by: Bandit on January 30, 2008, 07:16:22 AM I had the same problem with Bio-shock, in fact it froze during download a couple of times. Just shutdown steam (seems to stay resident for a few mins), restart steam, and hit launch again.
