Those technical bits scare me.  Can I just reinstall SimCity 2000?

Nope. But i'm sure someone will use the source code to make some version of...well, something. The game comes well before the era of WYSIWYG development tools. heh.

I've wanted to mod SimCity for a long time.  Man, did I ever waste time on those games.

It's a pretty nicely done codebase.  I can't say I really care for TcL/Tk, but oh well.  Getting everything setup under Ubuntu was a breeze.  I figure I'll try and do some simple tasks, like adding new types of buildings or roads or whatever, then start really ripping the thing apart.
