It's not a book to learn the grand sweep of events, but rather one to find out what it was actually like to be there on the ground. It's one of those books that is so engaging it's hard to put down.
And if you haven't read the Flashman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashman) series, well then, there's no hope for you. |
