Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: stray on December 14, 2007, 11:04:40 AM The Bargain Bin Geek is the coolest of the bunch.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Nebu on December 14, 2007, 11:10:12 AM I'm partial to the Lab Geek.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Mrbloodworth on December 14, 2007, 11:16:42 AM Ever met anyone who is all 56 in one? I think i'm about 6-7 of them. EDIT: The anime geek if fucking classic, lol. In that "Punk-used-to-be-an-outsider-thing-but-we-got-totally-owned-by-ourselves-and-pop-killed-the-punk-scene" way. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Miasma on December 14, 2007, 11:38:11 AM Why is the MMO geek the only one leaking money?
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Paelos on December 14, 2007, 11:45:31 AM Poker Geek reminds me of WAP.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: geldonyetich2 on December 14, 2007, 11:52:01 AM I'm unable to determine Cospaly Geek's gender.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: MrHat on December 14, 2007, 04:21:35 PM Ya, that poster rules.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Jain Zar on December 14, 2007, 08:49:51 PM That rocks. Too bad I am geek light in about half the categories. (Meaning I like but not love and have some interest in it.)
If we ignore geek requirements as Cosplay (except for like, Cosplay), I could be considered: Bargain Bin Trek Jedi Nintendo Indy Portable Potter Apple Comics Robot CCG MMO Podcast Film Webcomics Gadget Book Transformeres Lego Anime Collectible History Warhammer TV That's a lot of sad. Though to be fair, I would never rate my geekiness in any 1 category higher than a 7 out of 10, except for maybe Robots at an 8. (It would be higher but toy robots are too fucking expensive, even the ones at Wal Mart. I will admire die cast Soul of Chogokin awesomeness from afar. Though if anyone wants to give me an Iron Gear or Ideon from that line I wouldn't refuse it. And I would be your friend.) However I will be larping this spring (a friend wants me to. So I will try it once. Then I can REALLY hate it!), so I can almost hit that. I can't program or am good with Electronics so I don't get to be those, and RC costs too much for something that runs for 8 minutes then needs to be recharged. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: stray on December 14, 2007, 09:11:48 PM I don't really "geek out" on anything except Rock, Sports, and Movies. I used to be a Drama Geek, but that's just gay really. Not geeky.
I have no idea what CCG is. Maybe I'm that too, I don't know. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: voodoolily on December 14, 2007, 10:34:33 PM I'm only truly the food geek, but I try to moonlight as a rock geek.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: stu on December 15, 2007, 12:57:56 AM There needs to be a giant Pop Culture Geek to lord over all of them.
Bottom from the top. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: penfold on December 15, 2007, 04:14:46 AM I don't really "geek out" on anything except Rock, Sports, and Movies. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Chenghiz on December 15, 2007, 11:37:57 AM Why is the MMO geek the only one leaking money? Yeah it should be the Warhammer geek. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Strazos on December 15, 2007, 11:50:14 AM Where's the gaming geek?
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: Murgos on December 15, 2007, 12:25:48 PM With a little effort you could probably track down a photo of someone for every single one of those types. It would be about 1000 times cooler.
Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Post by: geldonyetich2 on December 15, 2007, 01:32:11 PM But then you might run into the occasional "hot geek" and it undermines the whole thing.

Most expensive bits of plastic known to man. Title: Re: The 56 geeks. Yes, but normally these are hybrid types, usually involving some sort of non-geek designation. Or, at the very least, they tend to be on the periphery of geekdom. |
