Title: Asset issues with trial
Post by: NiX on December 07, 2007, 01:46:45 PM
I've been fortunate enough to have a friend who is willing to buy a time card for me with ISK and have me be his slave (pay it back). Anywho, I don't want to keep the trial account, but I do want to move the assets I've accumulated and been given over to my other account. Seeing as you can't trade ISK, is there another way I can do this?

Use the market. If you just want to trade your isk over, have the target account put up a piece of tritanium at a price close to the amount you want to move, then use the source account to buy that piece of tritanium.

You lose some to sales tax and broker fees, but it's better than losing it all.

I'm not sure if contracts work with trial accounts, but I believe that they do not. If they do, zero-collateral interest-free loans that never get repaid are awesome.

If you can get an intermediary, you may be able to use face-to-face trades. Get in the same station, right click on trusted friend, choose "trade", move assets/isk over to him, have him do the same to transfer the stuff to your target character. No loss to tax/fees, but I'm not sure it works with trials.

Figure out how much your assets are worth and ill send you some isk.

Isn't it the case that if I put a piece of trit up at 1000000ISK in a station with other, cheaper stuff then choosing it and selecting "buy this" actually buys the cheapest first but hands over the full price to whoever that lucky punter was?  I thought that was brought in to stop this sort of "money-laundering"?

I hadn't heard that, but that's interesting.

Can you not escrow (or whatever it's called now) as a trail user either?
