Yes, it was my Erudite. Re: a couple messages ago Dymus (lead designer for expansions 2 and 3) was actually a critical partner in crime in the steady stream of improvements in EQ2. If you played through the latest version of Fallengate, that was all his (both concept and implementation), to give an example of his style. Turning an existing project of that size around is a herculean effort - Big projects turn about as quickly as big ships. It takes a lot of effort from a lot of people to overcome that kind of inertia. It's not even something that happened in a single dev cycle, but over a number of them. A lot of what people have termed the "early suck" was less about any individual person doing a bad job between 2000 and 2004, and more an overall goals issue. Even in what was there, there were a lot of good individual bits of work done by a lot of very smart people. Important parts of said work just weren't the ideal ways to make the best product possible that carried the EQ name.
