Title: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 18, 2007, 10:43:33 PM Will be notified by PM.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. OH GOD I SLAY ME. No really, the winners were: EQ1: we are lesion EQ2: Something weird happened. The list didn't want to give it away. I took a screenshot. (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/4818/eq2ne0.gif) So I guess Kirth wins. Seriously though, winners will be notified by PM. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 18, 2007, 10:49:01 PM Keys sent.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Nerf on November 18, 2007, 11:06:45 PM I call shenanigans! I'm not on that list, I think that I actually won it, and you covered my name up.
See folks, this is where your donations are going, rigged contests and world domination! 9/11? Schild did it, I saw him, really. Also, the crusades, AIDs, the .com fiasco, Vanguard, and that dude who banged your girlfriend, all Schilds fault. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 18, 2007, 11:13:02 PM You can only blame the crusades on me.
Also, I banged your girlfriend. The rest was some other Jew. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Kirth on November 19, 2007, 03:46:01 AM My awesomeness obliterated first pick. :awesome_for_real:
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Jamiko on November 19, 2007, 07:05:09 AM Hmm, I don't see me on the EQ2 list either.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 19, 2007, 07:11:00 AM Apologies. When we run the next contest, remind me and you'll get two entries. I can not guarantee that contest will be "high-quality" and "of value."
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: taolurker on November 19, 2007, 07:21:15 AM I'm not on that list either... /shrug
I also don't see anyone with 2 entires, so I take it that no ones posts made you laugh. I call this contest rigged, and I'm going to email support and demand a refund of my post. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: shiznitz on November 19, 2007, 07:27:34 AM Not on the EQ2 list either.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Jamiko on November 19, 2007, 07:42:19 AM Hmm, I don't see me on the EQ2 list either. Update: I'm not worried about it in the least. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 19, 2007, 07:45:33 AM Taolurker, you made no reference to wanting to be entered, in fact, you talked about Lum and Geldonyetich.
Quote I remain a loyal EQ2 player (since launch) so I would love to win this so I can sell it on ebay so I can buy some plat at IGE.com since I pre-ordered the expansion at the first opportunity and level 75 mounts cost 56p. Shiznitz, I thought that was a gag post. Apologies. Next time folks, just try a simple Yes if you can't be funny, and no, I didn't laugh about any of them. Not when they were posted at least. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: taolurker on November 19, 2007, 08:00:54 AM Taolurker, you made no reference to wanting to be entered, in fact, you talked about Lum and Geldonyetich. Was assuming that simply posting inside the thread was how you entered, then again you weren't really clear about the contest rules or what constituted an entry. Either way, I "signed below" in both contest threads, and attempted to be humorous, but the prize was two games I'd played before anyway. About the only use I would've gotten out of these prizes were expansions that I don't already own plus free play time. Quote Rules of Engagement: Must have had at least one post at the time of this contest posting. Must not be Geldonyetich (any version). How to win: Sign below. If I laugh out loud when I read your submission, you get two entries. Drawing will be Friday. Will be in one of those internet random name picker things. Please make your "contest rules" slightly more descriptive, and possibly you won't have as much confusion in the future. My bad gag aside, it seemed to be what you were encouraging. In the end, it's fine. I have everything EQ2 anyway. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Rasix on November 19, 2007, 08:45:09 AM In the future, the contest mod may run contests.
Can the EQ1 winner really be considered a winner? Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 19, 2007, 08:45:40 AM Yes plz.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Hoax on November 19, 2007, 11:19:55 AM Yeah I must admit I specifically didn't post in those threads because I didn't want to accidently sign up to win either of those shitty shit games. If I'd gotten EQ2 I would have been compelled to try it and that would have sucked.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Yegolev on November 19, 2007, 12:58:11 PM What Hoax said but with less hate. I like(d) EQ2 but I don't have time for a MOG. If I did, I'd probably waste it on EVE.

I'm not on the list either. I thought my post was pretty explicit: Quote from: me I choose to enter this contest. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: Tale on November 24, 2007, 02:20:18 PM Can the EQ1 winner really be considered a winner? I hope he posts a review. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: taolurker on November 24, 2007, 09:00:42 PM Can the EQ1 winner really be considered a winner? I hope he posts a review. I'd written a review of the EQ1 progressive server in Summer of 06, and since wirting it my account's been inactive. I hadn't even heard about what was in the latest couple of expansions to make EQ1 any different, let alone better, but some of the new stuff was interesting. Anyone wanting to read the unpolished copy (http://taolurker.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!CCF2B58975A5D478!154.entry), that I put on my blog before Grimwell put it on his site, it basically details the "progress" servers, but did delve a little into some of the interesting changes in expansions before that. Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: schild on November 24, 2007, 09:01:42 PM He wanted a kerosene fueled rant, me thinks.
Title: Re: Contest Winners Post by: taolurker on November 24, 2007, 09:09:11 PM It wasn't a fanboy endorsement of any kind, and was full of enough ranting to satisfy most jaded mmo'ers. I was basically pointing it out because anything worth doing in EQ on any of the 12 (13?) expansions was talked about before I went into detail about the Progressive servers.
