Next time folks, just try a simple Yes if you can't be funny, and no, I didn't laugh about any of them. Not when they were posted at least.

Was assuming that simply posting inside the thread was how you entered, then again you weren't really clear about the contest rules or what constituted an entry. Either way, I "signed below" in both contest threads, and attempted to be humorous, but the prize was two games I'd played before anyway. About the only use I would've gotten out of these prizes were expansions that I don't already own plus free play time.


Please make your "contest rules" slightly more descriptive, and possibly you won't have as much confusion in the future.

My bad gag aside, it seemed to be what you were encouraging. In the end, it's fine. I have everything EQ2 anyway.

In the future, the contest mod may run contests.   :grin:

Yeah I must admit I specifically didn't post in those threads because I didn't want to accidently sign up to win either of those shitty shit games.  If I'd gotten EQ2 I would have been compelled to try it and that would have sucked.

What Hoax said but with less hate.  I like(d) EQ2 but I don't have time for a MOG.  If I did, I'd probably waste it on EVE.

I'd written a review of the EQ1 progressive server in Summer of 06, and since wirting it my account's been inactive. I hadn't even heard about what was in the latest couple of expansions to make EQ1 any different, let alone better, but some of the new stuff was interesting.

Anyone wanting to read the unpolished copy (http://taolurker.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!CCF2B58975A5D478!154.entry), that I put on my blog before Grimwell put it on his site, it basically details the "progress" servers, but did delve a little into some of the interesting changes in expansions before that.

He wanted a kerosene fueled rant, me thinks.

It wasn't a fanboy endorsement of any kind, and was full of enough ranting to satisfy most jaded mmo'ers. I was basically pointing it out because anything worth doing in EQ on any of the 12 (13?) expansions was talked about before I went into detail about the Progressive servers.
