Title: Version 3 - the fuck? Post by: Margalis on November 06, 2007, 11:33:50 PM I've heard basically nothing about version 3 in forever. Boards appear basically dead, devs promise a UI update "in December." This for a product that was supposed to launch in what, June? After being delayed many many times already.
It's too bad that Duke Nuke'em Forever exists, otherwise this could be the lamest game development of all time. Is there anyone who believes that version 3 will: a: Actually come out b: not suck? I stopped playing Version 2 because my drafts crashed 4 times in a row. That's 6 or 7 hours wasted for nothing, utter frustration. Got sick of filling out refund forms without being refunded for the wasted time and the fact that the product sucks dick.
But version 3 is plain awful. I kind of doubt it will be any more stable, but even if it is the rest of it is horrendous. What they are doing is a total mystery. I guess they have non-technical people at every level of management -- and doing half the programming also... Title: Re: Version 3 - the fuck?
