I think the most powerful agp card on the market right now is the X1950 XT or Pro. Though I think Nvidia is going to start making their 8 series available in AGP in the near future as well.

Yep, yep!I've already looked at the ones on Directron (I've been buying from them pretty much exclusively since the late 90's). I was just hoping that someone may have known of a better card than this one (http://www.directron.com/pvt44awang.html) -- which is looking like it's as good as it gets. The PC belongs to a family member who wants to keep the small form factor of the current case, but wants to up the performance for gaming. I've suggested letting me build them a new machine that's fit for gaming, but it looks the budget doesn't exceed the $100 mark. |
