Anyone have any specific recommendations? This'll be my Christmas gift to my folks and I'd love something that can be updated remotely. Price is no object. I'm just that rich (heh).

I'd like to hear some opinions too.

Personally, if there was a WiFi picture frame that logged into your flickr account and let you have a random slide show between your account and all you friends displayed, I'd easily pay $400 for a 7" screen.

I bought my sister a Philips one (http://www.photoframe.philips.com/US/techspecs.html) which turned out pretty well.  It seemed like it had the best screen, most of the other frames were by companies I had never heard of and their quality was suspect.  The Philips one cost quite a bit more though.  I got one with clear plastic around the outside, the inside colour could be switched between white/black/red (not all Philips can do that).  It also has a battery in it so you can unplug it and pass it around for a few minutes.  I didn't have to install any software either, I just connected to the usb on my computer and dumped the pictures into a folder on the frame.  You can customize the type of slideshow, effects, duration, orientation etc.

The buttons took some time to get used to, you have to match up the monitor's display to buttons on the back of the unit and it is cumbersome.

Was checking out Best Buy and they have a few Westinghouse models. As I understand it, that brand is owned by Philips, so that's something.

Nothing I saw though had any wifi capability though and ranged from $100 to $160.

We got my Grandma one of those Ceiva Digital Photo Receivers mainly because it has built in dialup and will dial into the Ceiva server every night and download new pictures.  All you need to do to add pictures to the frame is log on to its page on the Ceiva website.

That was two years or so ago, a quick search shows they're still around, I'm not sure if they use Wifi now or something more technologically advanced.  The Ceiva frames are also pretty cheap mainly because you need to pay for a subscription service for them to work, but it's worth it if your folks are far away and don't know anything about them computers.

The Ceiva frames are hot, but the plans for pictures are ridiculously expensive. More than XBL in fact.

I second the Phillips one. Gave one to my mom last year.

The Ceiva ones are real nice. But a bit on the pricey side. Will keep looking.
