Title: Need advice on a new mouse. (Wireless)
Post by: Ragnoros on September 26, 2007, 11:13:25 AM
My mouse is dieing, stupid buttons are giving out. I'm tired of replacing the damn thing every year because of this. Anyone know a good mouse that won't break in a year of heavy use? (Diablo 2 destroys mice) Must be wireless. Also preferably not to expensive. Gotta save cash for the five thousand games coming out this winter.

I've tried wireless mice, expensive mice, all kinds of fancy mice.  I always end up back with the $15 2 button/wheel usb optical mouse.  Just works.

Yep. Wireless is good, but it dies to much..

Get a Razer Deathadder (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153007). Shitty mice are just that, shitty mice.

I'd say get the Sidewinder when it comes out, but it's $30 more and has no release date.

Ditch the wireless scene and get yourself a G9. Just got mine a few days ago and it's the best gaming mouse I've ever used.

There are some keyboards that will accept wired mouse inputs (G15 is one of them) that's always an option if your finances cover it.

You should buy a crappy 5 dollar mouse for Diablo II exclusive use.  Problem solved!

That looks like it would kick the balls off of my Diamondback.  I disagree with the design of the Diamondback side buttons.

   my DeathAdder.  Not wireless though.  Used to have a wireless shitbox Dell mouse.  Horrible imprecise battery eater.  Glad it's gone, although my wife is having trouble with the default sensitivity.

Wireless mice are ass. Playing with the DeathAdder is like when I first went on allergy medication.  A true revelation.  Although, honestly, I'm not quite sure what do with the extra buttons in TF2.

Targets got a sale on a Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard combo.  Works up to about 20 feet (I use it for my media PC http://www.team-mediaportal.com/)

Spend a little bit of a cash on a mouse that will be a joy to use, you only live once. (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/163&cl=us,en)

I use whatever wireless logitech laser mouse came with the mouse/key bundle I bought. It probably isn't helping me kerpwn in TF2 at all. I don't abuse it in any Diablo type games, though.

Bind to F5.

I've got a couple of Diamondbacks for different machines, are the Deathadders that much better? I didn't like the feel of the Copperhead.

I use an logitech MX1000 wireless mouse and there is no way I will ever go back to a wired mouse.  I think they may have phased this mouse out with some logitech gx revolution model.

I've had good luck with my MS bluetooth explorer mouse.. takes a usb bluetooth dongle (if you don't have it built in - bonus, works with any bluetooth thingy like your camera) and two AA batts in the mouse - which last about 6 months.
