Title: My Sims
Post by: Xanthippe on September 21, 2007, 12:12:40 PM
Just got this for the Wii.  My daughter (8-almost-9) loves it.  I'm digging it too (although I haven't gotten to play it much).  It's aimed at kids - I was wondering when the Sims franchise would do something like this.

It seems like it's for the same type of audience as Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing.  Very high on the  :hello_kitty: factor.

My only complaint is the load time.  Too much load time.  Load time is too long.  Load time stinks.  :x

Other than that, though, it's neat.

Yea, EA is really shitting their bed with the load times and bugs in their game. I've heard some fairly f'ed up stuff about My Sims.

Whatever happened to Spore on the Wii (http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/16/spore-confirmed-for-wii-sorta/)?  You would thing they'd iron out the Sims before releasing that.

My Sims, The Mini-Review

Animal Crossing + Suck

It's like AC but with terrible load times and poor design.  The 3D building tool might be cool except that it's hard to position pieces accurately due to a crap two-position zoom and the general inaccuracies of using the pointer.  It's a bit buggy, in that I did a couple things out of order and the game just didn't anticipate it.
