I have no reason to think anything has changed. If you need cute that bad feel free to play Indian Ragnarok Online which is free2play. Just as grindy but at least I know at higher levels the characters can do pretty cool stuff if you like seeing really big damage numbers spammed at high speeds.

Controls are a bit wonky and the translations suck big time. Looks like there's quite a bit of character customization which is surprising given the look of the game.
