Fatal Fury Battle Archive Vol: 1 is out now. Anyone into old-school 2D fighting should be jumping all over this. Fatal Fury Special is one of the most balanced and fun old-school fighters available and this is a damn good port. You also get 3 other games to boot, Fatal Fury, Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury 3. Which were all pretty fun as well. But you can actually get some good play out of Special and FF3. So jump on it. She's $14.99 at most places and $19.99 at Gamestop. While you are at it, pick up Art of Fighting Anthology as well, even more SNK 2D goodness.

Here's to SNK/Playmore releasing Battle Archive Vol: 2 (Real Bout, Real Bout Special, Real Bout 2) and the rest of the SNK collection stuff.

Whoa, sweet!  Thanks for the heads up.  I just ordered this and a SF Anthalogy with 3rd strike (which I've never played).  I don't really have anyone to play fighters with anymore but they'll look good in my collection.

I take it Fighters are HF's main genre of play?

I play everything but I really, really like fighting games. I used to be a game designer/ artist at a couple of game studios before I started working as a web and print designer. Anyway I really love combat design and I tend to play a lot of fighting games.
