Title: Wolf Quest - No, really, it's a learning game
Post by: Nonentity on August 09, 2007, 07:08:31 AM
So, Wolf Quest. A single and multiplayer game (I'm hesitant to call it an MMO, hence posting it under MMO) where you play a wolf, funded by the Minnesota Zoo.

I wanna grief that kid in the blue shirt so hard, by stealing all of his elk.

EDIT: Okay, not an MMO. The developer blog is fun! http://www.wolfquest.org/wordpress/index.php

Too close to endless forest or whatever. Anti-Furry-Cortex is shutting it down.

Is that the one that's like the MMO screensaver with deer?

Yes. But more importantly, any game where you play as animals has this problem.

Except Bloody Roar and Okami.

Multiplayer games ESPECIALLY have that problem.

But... but... BUT WHAT ABOUT FURCADIA?! The magical land of animal people who are totally not into sex at all, and are just into designing their awesome houses?

I played around with that for a bit. Ran around as a rat (Gan-chan - not sure if anyone got the joke) but couldn't see any point or saving grace to the 'game'. Was there a game? It looked like a graphical IM for the ... uh ... well, you know ... those ... ... kind of people.
