Title: Spyware Post by: dusematic on August 09, 2007, 02:25:51 AM Ok so awhile back there was a post about f31.com. Unfortunately nobody mentioned NOT to go there until a couple posts down. Now I have all this spyware that Ad-Aware nor Spybot Search and Destroy will remove. Does anyone have a simple solution (like a better prog) or can I look forward to a reformatting?

Windows Defender is free but I don't know how good it now after the rewrite of the original product they acquired. Another option is to run HijackThis and then painstakingly go through the output to figure out what needs to be deleted manually.
Title: Re: Spyware Post by: Yegolev on August 09, 2007, 07:16:52 AM If you want to do it the hard way, you will want to run HijackThis! and the start googling the fuck out of the things you find in the output. Even then, I have found a few removal techniques that don't quite work as advertised.
