Is... is that a nude boy with a straw hat on the first splash page?

Oh my.

"The world's only 3D fishing MMO"

Now I want to try the 2D fishing MMO.

Nude kid. "More than just fishing" tagline.

Not enough ten foot poles in the world.

Ten foot poles? You mean huge rods. That you tug on. Hey, it was in the manual.

I want a championship yoga mmorpg. With pvp and permadeath. Alternatively, a rhytmic gymnastics mmorpg would do. Signe, you are my pusher. Bring it on.

I wonder if they'll have a Noodler class?

Hey, check out the CPM on this new rod I got as a drop while doodle socking.

Just remember that when you're sculling keep your eyes open for the bass hooligans and power rangers.

This will be a wonderful MMORPG.  It's going to have SPECIAL EVENTS!  Don't be such BABO HEADS!  (http://www.cosgan.de/images/smilie/boese/u055.gif)

You are hooked into the mainline of Korean drek aren't you? It's flowing directly into your cerebral cortex and out your fingers onto the keyboard, isn't it?

Yeah, but you might want to upgrade your Cast Accuracy stat, maybe get some +range on your fishing line.

You need to have a certain amount of burst CPM for FvF combat. If you're going for the 'Misty Pond' instance, you'll need to go for more of a sustained CPM build. I'd recommend taking two points out of the 'Intrepid Fisherman' skill, and putting them into the 'Wears a Floppy Hat' skill.

NO. YOU LEAVE YOUR PUNS IN SERIOUS BUSINESS WHERE THEY BELONG.

But... I still want to try this. Honestly.

Maybe I'll try this, Granado Espada, and the Ludium game, all in one sitting.

That would be worthy of a blog post, methinks.

I can't believe they are claiming to be the world's *only* fishing MMO, and are ignoring their obvious predecessor (http://www.everquest.com).

I know it had fighting as well, but that was really just a cheap subgame to relieve tension between bouts of the real Bass Masters action.

Dude, there are fishing tournaments every week in WoW too.

Doesn't that make it a fishing MMO too?

Yes, those games are absolutely identical. Thanks for adding that.

I reckon that without all that silly junk, like mobs and weapons and skills and fighting stuff, the fishing and cooking should be incredible.

Subject: Items causing problems
Please be aware that if you equip too many items that give you negative stats, you will be unable to catch any fish.

If you catch a fish and it is not added to your net, please check your equipment, and unequip any items that give you excessive negative stats.

This is a serious bug, and we are hard at work to fix it.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Fucking stellar performance on their part.

Fucking stellar performance on their part.

Here, i'll edit it to be the equivalent of a WoW statement:

Quote
Subject: Items causing problems
Please be aware that if you equip too many items that give you negative stats, you will heal the monsters you are attacking instead.

If you attack a monster and you heal it until you die instead of killing it, please check your equipment, and unequip any items that give you excessive negative stats.

Eh? Yes?

Don't forget FFXI either. Some folks would turn down experience to fish during the good moon phases.

Don't worry, I never use green either.  Green is for people who are afraid of being misunderstood.  I have never had a fear of that.

I'm all for good crafting systems, but a game built around one crafting experience exclusively? Hm.

I tried to install and play this.  I did want to.  But they only have the servers up for 4 hours a day, and those 4 I'm at work.

So...another game then.

Nothing to do with me.

I want to pk people, but I can't figure out how.

I started getting error messages.  Don't know why, they don't make sense.  PvP would make this game nearly perfect.

Would the PvP be like a Bass Masters' series fishing rally?

Or are you thinking more along the lines of a sabotage your opponent's gear style pvp?

I just sort of want to stab the people who get the primo spots near the cooking pot with my fishing pole.  TO DEATH.

Fish have really small brains. You'll never catch enough to satisfy your insatiable zombie thirst for brain juice.

Teach a man to fish and they don't come back.  Feed a man a fish then nibble on his brain while he is distracted.
