Title: The Red Star - PS2 Post by: Margalis on May 21, 2007, 02:49:11 PM This game is very fun co-op. Apparently it was an XBox game that was cancelled then came back to life on the PS2. It's a mix of action-brawler and top-down bullet-hell shooter. It is also only $20.

I really didn't think anyone else here would be at all interested. If anyone's wondering, think 3d Isometric Brawler + Bullet Hell + Darius Twin style huge inventive bosses (that aren't fish) + combos = Red star.

The plot is hard to read and harder to follow, there are no cutscenes or really anything at all outside of the main levels - no intro, no CGI, no nothing. You just press start and play. It's from a time when games were just games and not "experiences."
