Jeebus. I had no idea there were that many emotes. I have probably used 15 of them in all my time. Now I have something to entertain me while I am waiting for the friggin' zep.

What a waste of animating and programming time. Admittedly programming one of these in probably takes 30-45 seconds. But what a waste. Do you really need more than /wave, /ty, /bow, /dance, /golfclap, and /violin?

(that goes for all MMORPGs, even Guild Wars, despite how much I love /drum and /guitar)

AC had a couple of doozies. @teapot (I think) and @atoyot. The first one made you do the 'I'm a little teapot dance' and the second made you jump into the air and freeze frame as if you were singing, 'Oh what a feeling, TOYOTA!'

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

I enjoy playing with the emotes in WoW, one of my favorites being sitting down in a mining cart doing the /train emote until my guildies threaten legal action or find great "hiding places" on their own.

Still, nothing beats the glory of AO's /disco and other dances. Specially when it was an Atrox doing them.

Wiiiiii!

CoH's /boombox now has about 30 different 'channels' you can listen to.  If your standing around waiting you can at least hear some tunes.

I assume 'moose dance' is referring to Dark Age of Camelot's Hero class, which could change into moose (supposed to be an elk?) form as their special ability. The dance itself reeked of pansy and made for brief entertainment. Watched many meese dance while waiting for the healer we need to do *anything*. I could be totally out of context, though.

That's not it.  It's specifically a type of dance I believe in one of the AC games (or CoH, I forget).  Quite stupid looking but infinitely entertaining.

Matrix Online:

/dogsniff Poopsocker

Poopsocker gets a yes/no gump saying that you wish to 'sniff their dog'.  If Poopsocker chooses yes, your avatar sniffs their avatar's ass like a dog, then exclaims "Phew!" and fans his hand across his nose.

What about the Matrix lead you to believe that it wouldn't be retarded?
