Don't know if you guys have seen the footage from the first new Pantera show, someone compiled it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ9s3m69j_o

I love this lineup and would be a-ok with them continuing on as a band, maybe not as Pantera but they sound great together.

This might be worth braving the crowds to check out (if they even come within a few hours of here).

Looks like the Flying Frog Brigade is going to fly again. Their Live Frogs v1/2 are still a couple of my favorites, from jamming stuff like Crimson's Thela Hun Ginjeet to the entire second set being Pink Floyd's Animals. Brutal sax solos from Skerik alone.

Oddly D's Diner (off Purple Onion) is one of the old lady's favorite tracks from 'my music', she loved the live version with Gabby Lala. She's a big Primus fan, as well (not the psychedelic parts tho).

Primus w/ Special Guests (Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor, Troy Van Leeuwen, Dean Delray and Jimmy Hayward)

Having Justin lets Les really get loose and rip out some amazing stuff. Just saw a RHCP show a few days ago and Flea was better than I've ever heard him, just ripping at peak level. Some pent up jams, the pandemic sucked for the music industry monetarily, perhaps, but not creatively!

My fukkin thred lol

This is tantalizing close to an actual representation of psychedelic hallucination while listening to music.

Echoes with AI visuals. Legit the first "AI-"created" thing that I've enjoyed.

Also the Dark Side album is pretty well done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69VMx9Kd3tQ

I went to a proper chantey sing last weekend for the first time since the pandemic started (it took the NPS this long to decide they could start hosting in-person events again).

Recordings of performances are always a poor substitute for the full surround-sound effect you get from hearing these songs in person in N-part harmony, but this old favorite delighted me when I heard it that evening so I'll share it here and maybe Sky will be a little less lonely in his thread.

In 'Frisco town there lived a man, and Larry Marr was his name,
And in the days of the Cape Horn trade he played the old shanghai game...

A fun live music coincidence: the last real concert my wife and I went to was about a month ago at the Hotel Utah, and the opener was a folk singer that I hadn’t heard before but liked a lot.  Today my daughter is two weeks old and I took her in her stroller down to our local pub for some live music (I want to get her acclimated early) and it took me a sec to realize it turned out to be the same singer at her first ex utero concert as at her last in utero concert.  https://www.sararodenburg.com/

There is "Post" everything.  Post Hardcore, Post Metal, Post Rock, and I guess it was only a matter of time before the term Post Black Metal got tossed around.

HaraKiri For the Sky are self described Post Black Metal   Rock on! Rimshot Rock Out

However, they are really f'ing good at what they do.  Slightly NSFWish video
