Advanced Weapon Upgrades.  Rank 5 or 6, so it'll take 20-30 days to train from IV.

So what're the "Upgrade Hardpoints"?  I don't recall seeing those prior to my quitting last year.

Those are for rigs. Rigs are made out of materials you get from salvaging wrecked ships and will upgrade your ship in various cool ways.

I'm think we're all missing the more important question here:  How can we best profit on the incoming patch?  evil

There's going to be hordes of people trying to invent bpcs for the new ships, but I suspect they'll be either vastly overpriced for what they do (CNR style) or too role specific to be useful to most people outside of 0.0.  As always, must look for the non-obvious...

Datacores are certainly going to go up, and might stay up.  Everything else involved with ship invention will no doubt spike as well - it probably has already started.

Other small predictions:
Mineral prices spiking like the last new ship patch.

The current hard ceiling on Veld prices is removed.

Boosters and Heat will still be stupid ideas.

The patch will reset the overview.  As always.

Trit has been moving up steadily to the new cap of 3.60.  Although they will probably remove it eventually, I'm not sure they are in a rush to take the new price cap out yet.  I hope you are right and I'm wrong on that.

High ends have been coming down and will continue to do so even if this patch slows the fall.

Not sure about boosters, but I agree with you that heat will stay stupid.

Last patch didn't reset the overview for me.  I thought I saw somewhere they had fixed that from happening any longer?

You can buy and refine an infinite amount of NPC shuttles which you melt for the trit.  This works out to giving anyone with perfect refine skills all the trit they want @ 3.60

Hmm.  Liquidating some of my larger assets (freighters, faction ships) to buy all the trit and pyrox I can (to resell in a month) is tempting.

Somebody tell me why this is a bad idea.

To elaborate slightly, it looks like CCP is adding high-yield versions of veldspar, scordite, etc which (presumably) will only be in 0.0
They look like they might need specialized mining crystals as well, possibly.

If they have any brain at all, they'll put at least some of them in low-sec.

Oh hey, CCP have gone insane (Part One)
Large T1 modules now take up 100m3 volume each on SiSi. So much for rat loot in 0.0

Oh hey, CCP have gone insane (Part Two)
Rats now shoot jetcans and anchored cans on SiSi.

Anything related to Tech 2 BS invention will be going up in price. Already has gone up in price. Ship Data Interfaces, Mechanical Engineering Datacores, Racial Starship Engineering Datacores, and decryptors.
