They cut the somethingawful tag off of it. They had an entire Phriday about that original flier.

I've always thought someone should make a song with those lyrics.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Quote
Here's what I've completed on my back piece so far. The words at the top are a Sublime lyric translated into Latin. ('Don't runaway if you wanna stay') Overall the tattoo represents balance. Night, day, love, death.

Quote
Hi um...I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I really, really do. But your Latin translation is wrong. It reads "I do not run away you would be I want to stay" (assuming it reads Non fugio sis maneo) I can't make out what that last word is supposed to be? Um...yes...I am sorry. As a student of Latin, I had to let you know. Not that anyone else will ever probably notice.

Aside from getting the translation wrong, her pretentiousness was pretty awesome too. smiley Translating an originally English quote to Latin? Night, day, death, love? What the hell.

She could have mangled a genuine Latin quote into something fare more classy and appropriate. For example - "Vidi vini veni" awesome, for real

Gotta call you on this one.  "I conquered" is Vici (as in victory) so it should be "Vidi Vici Veni". "Vini" is the genitive singular of the noun "vinum" which means wine. At a stretch you could probably mangle it as "I saw, I had some wine, I came".
