I think Sky found a new toy for when he's too old to be a lumberjack.
My buddy's got one. It rough cuts the wood and I split it down to stove size. If I get a better stove I won't have to split it down :(

Sadly, that story was debunked, it was actually an intentional art installation, which is far less interesting.

Buzzfeed's 45 most powerful photos of 2012.

Warning, a couple overly graphic ones among them (especially regarding Tibetan protesters *shudder*).

#8 sort of made me chuckle, not because of the content (which is an awful display of anti-gay violence), but because one of the dickheads in question is wearing a NY Giants hat in the Ukraine. Thus, another reminder that Giants fans are fucking assholes around the globe.

You should have a look at the 45 Things We Should Just Forget About 2012 also at buzzfeed. Some pretty fun stuff there! (Properly belongs in the fun thread, but I thought it would be more natural to post it as a respons here.)

I hear he mumbled something like, "They're all dead. Every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women, and the children too. They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals! I hate them!"

From today: First guard to guard the Buckingham Palace, wearing a Turban instead of the traditional bearskin helmet.

I'm not sure if I approve of people guarding the palace without appropriately silly hats.  Couldn't he have worn the helmet over the turban?

With 50 cartel coins, he can hide the helmet and still retain the armor bonus.

Or better yet, put a turban on top of the silly hat.
