I loved the game as much as the next chap, but you can't deny the sigh of relief you gave when you finally got promoted to something with shields.

Though, looking at the numbers the +/- is only really 7% towards either side so not as extreme as the graphic makes it seem.

Not to mention giant fucking wings and a tiny window blocking all views.

TIEs have more vulnerable angles of attack than a drunk cheerleader at a frat party.

Use the sensor array, Luke.

TIEs are meant to be cheap and run in packs.  It's just those pesky rebels decided to rise up and cause problems.

Yup ties were a decent ship for what they were designed for. Because the empire had a lot of capital ships to lug fighters around they went with large quantities of easy to replace fast agile fighters that were inexpensive.

Rebels had few capital ships so they needed jump capable fighters and once you put in that expense they went all in making fewer higher quality more durable fighters.

The most unsettling thing about working on SWG was the number of people who justified playing Imperials by telling me "It's not like we're evil, I just want to roleplay as someone who was just following orders."

Relocated from incorrect thread.  why so serious?

I thought this was cool - all 34 classes/specs visualised as company brands.

That's an awesome photo, pxib.  I love the pattern formed by the chain rubbing.. makes me want to use it in a piece.

And the gang photos... those were interesting.  I gotta say though, that no matter how bad you life is, there's a certain limiting factor in putting any tattoos directly on your face which aren't cultural.  The Maori ones I can understand but having "Notorious" across your cheeks and the bridge of your nose?  Not so much.

Ya, the swastika emblems everywhere suggest to me that these guys may not be making all the right life choices. I mean, have they actually looked into any of the Nazi's views on race?

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

A) Well, they are gangsters...

B) There are even Russian Neo-Nazis (read: Hitler fans, not just generic extreme right/fascists). How they arrange that with Hitler's opinions and plans for the "slavic races" is anyone's guess. So it wouldn't be a first.

C) Probably partly a style / fashion statement. The M42 steel helmet is rather iconic looking after all.

That is indeed awesome, hilarious, and impressive.  If I actually decide to do a tour in Afganistan next, will be on the look out for such rugs.

I looked up the scary ship in the image.

It's actually as big as it appears, 56 m wide and 326 m long. Also in an previous incident unrelated to this image she collied with and sank a Chinese fishing boat, killing 13 people....

Temperatures across SF during the minor heat wave earlier this week (it was over 100 in many parts of the East Bay, but the city is usually about 10 degrees cooler, being closer to the ocean).
