The only time I ever tried to put a leash on a cat ended in it flying around like the Tasmanian devil from looney tunes. That many calm cats on leashes scares me.

And exactly what sort of 'deeds' did you have to perform for the empire to gain acceptance?  HMMMM?

That is indeed my letter. Thanks! First official "Troop" is an autism event this weekend, hooray.

The Deeds we shan't speak of but many dollars died to bring me this far. And hours.. and probably some lung matter because the glue you use isn't good for you and I didn't wear a mask 100% of the time. Well, that and a sacrifice of your inability to see accuracy errors on lower-end costumes. Hobbies like this make you a critic really quick, and even on my suit all I can see are flaws to be adjusted now. Hah.

The couch is incredibly comfortable. It's at Macy's furniture, it's the Elliot collection. The Couch and Loveseat were $1,600 last August. The best part is they're not the overstuffed type with the cushions sewn to the back like so many couches were. I've seen too many of those rip open at the seam, so separate pillows or a one-piece back were requirements.

Is there a German word for simultaneously laughing about something someone said and also thinking they are an asshole because they said it?

Heh, I was just going to let it go with a, "Yep, asshole," mental tick. Makes me feel good to see others understand it's not just geeks in costumes.

Well it's geeks in costumes because you enjoy it and for a cause. What really matters is you like it and have a group who does as well. Fuck the haters and all that.

Don't let anyone talk shit to you Merusk. I would kill for a storm trooper costume that high quality.

Oh, I don't. I did an event before I was approved and got nothing but love. That's all I need to know it was a good decision.

No need to kill, it's only $700 dollars and time. The company I bought from sold out of the classic trooper but there's still shadow troopers.

My wife would murder me if I spent 700 bucks on a costume, no matter how badass it might be.

That is pretty cool. I am impressed with the dedication. I'd like to say the same thing about my wife and $700, but she let's me spend that on my computer every two years. And my computer doesn't travel around in a troupe doing nice things for people smiley

Shadow trooper looks badass, but I would absolutely die if there is a sunny event. Black is the color of the night and dies by day...

I know quite a few of the storm troopers use some cooling systems built into the back pack part of the armor to try to mitigate the heat stroke factor. One of my friends in the 501st though has a snowtrooper commander outfit its a wool under layer with armor on top of that and a padded over coat. While very practical in actual artic/winter conditions it can only be worn for short periods of times in any kind of shirt sleeves temp event.

Turns out I saw a ton of Stormtroopers at a AAA game her last Saturday. They were doing a Star Wars night. Even some LADY troopers, which I'd never seen before in public. I don't go to conventions.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Depends on the variant. Some ladies like doing the High-Heel lady troopers. All the women in my garrison do full-on ANH/ ESB/ ROTJ style, though.

Last weekend was a busy one, indeed. Free Comic Book Day and May the 4th stuff all around. Doing an Autism Walk for two hours this Saturday after the special needs event I did last weekend. Woo, plans.
